Poor Kamila. It must've hurt being in that suitcase. And yeah, I did not care for the jailbreak puzzle, either. To top it all off, it was all for nothing. But it's weird how you had to see that "murder machine" room twice, huh? Every answer you get just raises more questions.

I really like their decision to have you play through the "murder machine" in both cases, so you're able to piece it together yourself even before the characters draw attention to it. It lets you feel cool and observant, like *you're* the detective solving things. But also! So many questions remaining!

I love that that's what it's called! It is a really, really fantastic piece of music, a standout in a soundtrack filled with great music. It's really, really good. But also! Melodrama! And tragedy!

lauren what the hell!! you got the medicine puzzle so quick!!!! it's the opposite of the binoculars puzzle from a couple weeks ago; this one has a fair few moving parts and it takes folks a while to get what order is worth pursuing or what objects are worth having where. you've been knocking it out of the park! how is this your fastest-paced lp by a mile?? having a great time with these still

oh, and at 1:47:27 "What was that telephone call the justice minister got all about?" i think is just some awkward phrasing that would sound more natural when spoken with the right reading. "that telephone call the justice minister got" is a compound noun here, so it should read as "What was [that telephone call the justice minister got] all about?"

Yeah, trying to read these lines out loud the first time I'm reading them at all is tricky because it can be hard to parse where a sentence is going, which is why I have to reread things again sometimes. Not to mention that I just straight-up stumble over words and phrases sometimes. There will definitely be flubs. I can only assume this game is going by so fast because the pacing of the game itself has next to no downtime and also apparently my brain is fluent in Rube Goldberg machines! I had no idea.

@@LaurentheFluteoh, my apologies! i wasn't pointing out the line to bring attention to you misspeaking, i was doing it because the line confused you at the time; i wanted to hopefully clarify it to you and anyone else watching who might've been confused. 💙

Based on the revelation from this stream, it should be safe for me to mention one of the name origins I've been holding back on. You've been careful to note that "Jowd" is properly pronounced in a way that rhymes with "mode", and while I can't speak to whether this is of much significance in the English localization, that pronunciation does line up better with the Japanese pun his name is based on. In the original language, the name is pronounced the same way as "浄土" (joudo), which is the Japanese term for the Pure Land sect of Buddhism. I was wary of revealing this earlier because of a few implied connections based on other name-related pieces of information I already shared. For starters, Pure Land is the type of Buddhism most strongly associated with the nembutsu saying (namu amida butsu/"I take refuge in the Amida Buddha"), which was the basis for the name of the apartment Lynne and Kamila were staying in. More importantly, though, the sect's strong connection to the Amida Buddha also means it is closely related to the bodhisattva Kannon, which is the basis of Kamila's Japanese name, Kanon. Add in Lynne's name being a reference to the cycle of samsara (death and rebirth), and I think you can get a good idea of how Jowd's name origin hints at his connection with many of the other characters close to him. But there's also one non-name based piece of trivia I can share. Apparently both the English and the Japanese phrasing for part of the line that shows up at around 1:24:58 is similar to the wording used so memorably in Earthbound. The original Japanese for "No problem here" in Earthbound is "もんだいなし" (mondai nashi/no problem[s]), whereas in Ghost Trick it's "モンダイなし" (mondai nashi/no problem[s]), which is pronounced exactly the same but the first word is written in Katakana rather than the Hiragana used in Earthbound. The official English line in Ghost Trick being "No problem there" is therefore a good approximation of using the same phrase with slight modification. I'm fairly certain this is a matter of sheer coincidence based solely on the use of a common phrase in the Japanese, rather than a deliberate reference, but the fact that it works either way is pretty cool! Congratulations! You've gotten past the worst part of the game! Now you can get back to enjoying the fun silliness present in the remainder of the game. Btw, may have missed this, but will you be uploading Utale Yellow on Ytube?

I'll put Undertale Yellow up soon. Last week was not a good brain week for me, so I didn't finish timestamping it.

@@LaurentheFluteoh yeah, you used the term 'shepherd of the dead' - have you ever heard of the word 'psychopomp'? That might be the ideal term... Not that the former was incorrect, obviously, just that psychopomps literally guide the dead.
