I'm sorry I couldn't let you know sooner that this was happening, but here it is, archived as quickly as I could! It is, as always, a bit of a mess. That's just how I do things, I'm afraid. Lots of talking, little bit of singing, some speculating, a detour to watch the VERY UNSETTLING Fangamer video wrapup.
AS ALWAYS, please don't tell me about RU-vid Person Theories or facts that I wouldn't know from my playthrough of the game - I'm just having fun putting together my own ideas here and sharing them, whether they're accurate or not ♥
I ran out of steam at the end and had to go call my dad (though due to timezone shenanigans I was EARLY instead of LATE whoops) so we didn't get a chance to go through the Spamton Q&A, even though that might get at some of the stuff I really want to know. Maybe we'll have another Deltarune-related stream where we talk about those, if folks want! Let me know. I still have more thoughts that have been percolating around inside my head - more thoughts about the characters and their relationships, more thoughts about Spamton and Jevil and the overarching meta story that might be happening there.
Anyway I absolutely love Noelle, who is absolutely 100% without a doubt somebody I would have been friends with in high school. It's almost an unsettling blast from the past reading her LiveJournal. I seriously feel like I knew her.

I'm delighted and sort of bewildered that a whole lot of new folks are here looking for reactions to the Spamton Value Network video. I hope you don't mind too much how incredibly long-winded I am about, like, _everything_ . I approached this stream assuming that everybody who watched it would already know me from previous streams - so I didn't really keep new folks in mind - but hello, and welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay!! This is the kind of messy stream you'll see here most of the time, and also music, and stuff. Stick around if that sounds like a good time, but please don't feel obligated, since I know stylistically I'm kind of a niche streamer ♥ But I have appreciated this little sudden onslaught of attention and your kindness and goofiness, so thank you! You've brightened my week!

Oh god I just realised that "Spamton After Not Surviving" is a reference to that Steven Universe theory. Remember that meme theory that Sans is actually the skeleton of Steven? And S.A.N.S stands for "Steven After Not Surviving"?

Toby Fox is a good-natured little troll like that! I think the info we got in this event is _optional_ rather than essential, so for everybody who just plays the game and never even knew this weird event happened, they'll still have a full experience. But it definitely provided some interesting tidbits I'm very glad I got to experience.

@@VanessaMagick Well, that depends on how much you want her to be developed... If you don't see/play bought possible roughts you don't learn a lot about her(she has a lot of subtextual backstory) but not that much direct story. Most basic thing we know, she is connected to Kris(they pranked her as kids and are her neighbour sinse forever). Her family is extremely close to the Dreemurs . She has a sister named December (that is no longer part of her life for whatever reason) that promised her to show her the world. She has a crush on Susie. Likes scary movies and being pushed around (specifically by Susie). Has a very bad memory about a past situation in the graveyard involving Kris,Des and Asriel. Is scared of Ice-E because Kris scared her as a kid saying Ice-E is real and eats kids . Has a connection to Berdly as the smartest kid in clas that helps Berdly study and keep his superiority complex high. (From the sweepcakes we now know she had a blog for surching mysterious secrets in their hometown including creepy ARGs , Video game secrets, Pipis and more) . Mind you this is what we know Just from the regular sweet rought. I won't discuss the other one because some people haven't played it and don't want to know it ...

Checking out other streamers watching the Spamton event with wild confusion does not compare to your genuine enjoyment through it all. Your laugh for the show and care for the lore is wonderful and I'm glad you have this moment archived. Kupo!

I mean, I was wildly confused by the show, too, but it was also a lot of very weird fun! Even if my brain can't stop trying to make sense of it, and trying to take it seriously as part of the lore despite Toby telling us not to... oops. (I just really, really like Deltarune.)

This was my first experience with them and I did not know how to process what I was seeing! But it seemed like they had a _ton_ of fun making this insanity, and I think it's really cool that Toby and Fangamer are partnering with other people to make things together.

Consider that the ,,SnowGlobe" gift in the Sweepcakes is specifically mentioned to be of ,,Jack Scelington" in the "turms and conditions" considering they have to say what the prizes are legally... Also also the first chapter of Deltarune was released EXACTLY on Helloween...

It's one of those things where I see it, and I point at it, and I say "this makes me think of that thing!" ... but I am not sure that it actually _means_ anything, because I don't know what Toby could _do_ with it. It might just be him recognizing that there are some similarities and having a little laugh at his own expense. Or we might get an homage to that movie in the next chapter. Who knows!

If it's something that you're interested in doing/talking about, people will be interested just 'cause it's you. If that weren't true, people wouldn't stick around when you stop playing a game to talk for an hour and a half XD

4:06 ...When you say special interest, are you suggesting you're on the spectrum, Lauren...? If so, that's honestly really connecting for me to this channel if you don't mind me saying-- I first found you because Deltarune has been my own special interest since Chapter 2 came out. Ever since then you were one of my favorite channels because you were the only one who ever really thought about the game the way I did. I really felt like you were connecting with this game and digesting all of it in a way I didn't see in anyone else... Now I know why it might have reminded me of myself so much- ^^

Last year I was finally diagnosed with ADHD, which actually has a lot of overlap with autism in ways I didn't realize until I learned more about both kinds of brains - so while a lot of things on the spectrum don't fit me, some things do, and I have always had what you might call Special Interest Lite. It's not quite the same as a full-intensity Special Interest but it's related. My Special Interests (lite) over the years have included rocks and minerals/geology, reptiles and amphibians (mostly just when I was a kid though), ARGs once I first learned about them, and other things that I can't pull up at the moment... unfortunately, ADHD brains are kind of like sieves as you get older, so I can't retain a lot of what I once knew about these things, but I still get a special kind of excited when they are mentioned. You can imagine me vibrating with intensity and flapping my arms around when I realized Deltarune had something like an ARG going on this weekend. I've heard people say ADHD and autism are like neurodivergence cousins, which I think is a charming way to put it ♥

Reading through this I was really shocked too because I've _also_ recently been developing an interest in herptiles???? Truthfully when I say recent though I mean more like within the past 6 months-- I've always been incredibly passionate about biology and ecology, but historically my focus has overwhelmingly centered on arthropods and avian chordates, with the biggest of those being isopods and corvids. Usually any other vertebrates weren't appealing at all with only some rare exceptions like opossums and bats, but once I started building my own personal terrariums for my own pet isopods I learned after the fact that they're most commonly kept by a larger community of odd pet owners as a sort of bio-custodian for other terrarium animals. Over time one video turned over from another and I ended up caring an awful lot more than I ever expected to about the idea of having a cool amphibian to take care of of my own... ^^ So far, my parent doesn't really approve of my interest in having one at all... But that's ok!!! I'm an adult now, so when I get my own money, first thing I'll do is... I'm gonna save up for a cool poison dart frog friend to whisper all my terrible secrets to at night!!! Heheh! ٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)) Anyways, I'll let you off the hook haha- but hey if for any reason you care to read me ranting about how cool dart frogs are this section is open! Or just anything else in general tbh-- hope that wasn't weird or tmi by the way!! I just don't get to talk a lot abt it and it seemed relevant hah-

I think the Spamton Value Network™ really does capture that feeling. though, I don't think people who see this later are going to discover this the same way... I'm going to rewatch this full stream, because I love your Deltarune stuff, but it's going to take me a while to do it, since I really like taking the time to absorb what you say and think about the broader lore and such... I also love that you reacted the the Spamton Sweepstakes finale, even though Toby Fox clarified that it's not canon and just for fun. As surreal as it go, I was able to appreciate the humor of it all, and it really doesn't feel a bizarre character like Spamton.

I love how much you’re laughing in the stream bit- I’m extremely hyperfixated on the group that made it so it makes me really happy seeing you enjoy their absurd humour and timing That kind of happiness that makes you stim a lot lol Their humour catches you off guard so bad you have to laugh lmao Also for the pipis demonstration scene,,, it’s very uncomfortable, but Wayne is used to doing that kinda stuff, he’s eaten raw eggs on stream before and much more, it’s fucking crazy being a fan of his. Toby did let folks know in advance that the video was meant to be fun and not part of the lore, but I personally can't turn off the part of my brain that tries to piece things together, even if I know I am supposed to; it is a problem XD Also, he's just enough of a good-natured troll that he might _say_ that and then slip something in there anyway, to mess with us. (I wasn't familiar with WayneRadioTV because I am _incredibly_ uncool, sorry!)

Also I think it’s pretty reasonable to analyse this in terms of themes Like toby probably looked over the script to make sure nothing would throw theorists off even though he announced it was not canon With the constant refrences to hearts and damaging tvs it reinforces the chapter 3 tv themes

1:23:12 I dont think the Ghosts have found a way to be themselves. Maybe the first dummy, and maybe Mettaton. The first dummy lost his body due to the player, napstablook didnt really have any change at the end of the story, they just got a friend, but its not like they wanted or didnt want their body. Mettaton got change in which, even when they got their body to become a start on the overworld, they didnt really achieve that. Mettaton learned that they already have what they need underground. They are quite happy with their body though. And the 2nd dummy... they just always lose, right?

Confusing comment. You’re saying they haven’t found a way to be themselves, yet you’re saying Mettaton is happy with their body. The body they obtained so they may be themselves. Whether they’re a success or not, or discover they’ wouldn’t be happy leaving their fans is irrelevant. It’s not like ppl who transition are perfectly happy with their lives, identity, and never face problems ever again. That doesn’t mean they’ve not found themselves through obtaining a body they fit with. Also, Mad Dummy gets a body on the switch release.

If by chance the chapter does revolve around Undyne, it wouldn’t be far fetched to assume that she’ll think it was a dream since maybe Undyne at this point has been exposed to anime by Alphys, but idk

@@LaurentheFlute As far as I’m aware, the only encounter they have is when Alphys crashes her bike, but they do see each other in town every now and again since Undyne is able to tell that Alphys is Kris’s teacher, but now that I think about it, I don’t think they’ve communicated with each other at all, at least not directly, who knows, since they are already on the outside and have internet, maybe Undyne visits anime discussing forms, but there’s no evidence for that (obviously), that’s just me spitballing ideas

I was working on my Spamton cosplay, peacefully sewing away on my bedroom floor... When I heard Bonely Hearts Club mentioned. I jumped out of my seat and ran to rewind the video because I genuinely could not tell if what I had just heard was real. A while ago me and some friends played BHC (mostly for the memes, but we were having fun). I had honestly forgotten it wasn't just a weird, skeleton themed fever dream until you mentioned it. Thanks....?

There's a secret to finding the "Dess" page on your own. From the link to Decembers 404 page, the hint is in "the name may have changed" implying the whole replacing December with Dess in the url. Sorry if you know that, i just thought it was clever 😅
