Thanks for the episode! Just wanted to point out that the school was originally South Texas College of Law and y’all talked about Texas Southern University. I’m from Houston, so I always used to get these mixed up too 😭

Did you say what number correlates to big law placement on these 509 reports? Is it only the firms of 501+ or 251-500? And thank you for finally addressing the misery that is big law @15:07, would love more videos on that! Perhaps interviewing big law veterans and their daily lives that drove them away from the practice.

501+ is big law. The number in 251-500 is mid law. They said add federal clerkships too. Typically when people talk they say % of the school that is BL+FC. In the top schools there is real self selection though, so it gets more tricky.

Im confused. When the video first begins you come off as believing the Fighting to attend the big law schools is nonsensical, but then turn around to say you would probably hire the Harvard grad when two applicants were comparable. It's possible the Harvard grad was a legacy student. Yourv stance isn't clear. I like your subject matter though. Both my parents went to South Texas. They were 2 of 5 black students in a class of 500 in 1982. You have no idea
