Listener Manny asks Ben and Nathan for their thoughts on the salary medians reported by “publiclegal.” Is there any justification here for paying sticker price at a higher-ranked school? The guys discuss these statistics, how they are misleading, and why you still shouldn’t pay for law school.

Yes it is! Majority of African American doctors and lawyers are HBCU graduates. Howard is considered top tier HBCU. I’m applying to Howard.

@@aalegalfocus No, and sadly most law students will never make any serious effort to repay their student loans. I only borrowed what I needed, and paid it all back, with interest, ahead of time. . .but that's me. Basically, most law students are living a lie from the moment they sign loan documents for money they have neither the intent nor the ability to repay. I went on the Law School Reddit and pointed out that "student loans" are inherently dishonest, and that people who default on them should not be allowed to open a Trust Account and put their client's money in Trust, but no one cared. The dishonesty and financial fraud rolls on. I would never trust someone who refused to pay their own debts with one penny of my money. . .but again, that's just me, I suppose.

Going to employment data at a law school website will show you how many people are going into big law vs public vs unemployed.
