Looking Great Pete... Also, Thank you for the prayers last week. Heading into surgery on Tuesday to remove some of the mass for a Biopsy. God is good, even when times are rough. Look forward to seeing that new test lawn.
Sounds like an Irrigreen digital sprinkler may be coming down the pike. Idk, we''ll see. Good name for this plot might be Blue Velvet. Lots of hard work. Thanks for sharing!
👍Awesome! Mind you, I’ll never have a lawn as good as Sir Pete but I try. This guy is da man! Would love to shake his hand & just talk. I’ll never meet him BUT I’ll seek him out once this ol life is over. I suspect the Lord has a special, heavenly field of his own beautiful grass that Sir Pete will be in charge of. *Blessings to ya sir!
Hi Pete, my husband and I have just found you about 4 months ago, I love a beautiful green lawn, but of course he does all the hard labor, he is a Sundrop fanatic, he can come over from Wilson, NC to give you a hand, a two for one, you get free labor and he gets free knowledge 😭🤣😂, your grass growing skills and results bring us joy 🤗, take care and stay safe 🙏 Evon and Wadell
Finished reading and putting together his Flozone Typhoon 2.5, charging the battery 🤗, I hope he can work with it as easily as you do 🙏, thank you for sharing your lawn experiences with us subbies 😀
Good morning Pete! This lawn renovation project is looking outstanding!!! I was cracking up... "You're late.... You're late again!!!" Hey, you missed a spot (mowing)!!! Hahaha!!! Oh and look at all those mowers and equipment. I'm thinking, I want that, and that and oh yeah, I want that attachment too. LOL! I can't wait to see this new irrigation system set up. Can't wait until the next video. Have a great weekend!
I've just completed my first lawn renovation since opening my business in 2014. It turned out beautiful! Adter doing that and watching you on that Ventrac it makes me want one.
Definitely in the top five of my favorite videos of yours. You guys' personality really comes out and makes it very entertaining. Heck of a job! I just completed an aeration, overseed TTTF (Hounddog) job on my 0.5 acre property. My butt is kicked!
Now that's a great friend. He should come around more often. I got a kick out of you two working together. I think I know what sprinklers you're going with. I saw some cool ones the other day on that Quiet Lawn Guys channel.
Brother Pete, Thanks for all the GREAT lawn care content! I live in Northern VA and I'm wondering if it's too late to "start" a full renovation? You're already dropping seed and I haven't even smoked the grass! If it is too late, should I go with a heavy aeration & overseeding until next year?
Pete I love the content like always. I’d love to see a video on what this Reno cost in terms of money and time? I did my 30ksq/ft yard over 2 years ago and I don’t think people have a real concept of what it takes! PS I didn’t have any of that fancy equipment you have just a wheel barrow, a shovel, a pair of hands & legs, and some chemical! Dirt alone I bet your into this for $2k
Pete- I don’t comment on RU-vid Videos, but need to now. I appreciate you displaying Servant Leadership with your apprentice, and really the whole of your content, although now I need to have the ABI discussion with my Bride, after consuming your content for a year. Suggest you buy your apprentice a Spyderco Para 2 in Maxamet ($200) and a Basic Wicked Edge Sharpener ( $300) as a bonus. Bless you and your family, Brother.
What is the best way to determine how much top soil you need? I'm getting ready to do the KBG on a new construction home. I have about 1.25 acres of grass.
Oh man, it thought emediatly why you don’t extended the pipe. So you did then. And the most important: I Love your Content 👌👍 greetings from Austria 🇦🇹 (Europe) 🤗🤗
You should have dug down a little bit where you put the sod so it isn't raised up compared to the rest of the yard that will be seeded. Unless you're planning to raise the dirt level of the rest or 'feather it in'.
Why couldn't the trucks, as they were dumping everything, have dumped it while they were moving? That way it could have been distributed better.. 🤷🏼♂️
Let's hope for the best with the KBG renovation. I live in Ma and KBG cannot stand heat, I'm talking like not at all. We've just had 4 days of 90 degree heat and I have large sections going brown/dormant. The day before the heat wave, we had 2 inches of rainfall. So no amount of water is helping it in the heat. I know you had a little patch of it but I seriously doubt it will thrive in the south where you're located. Love KBG in the spring and fall, but if you want green grass in the summer, KBG isn't your friend. I'm betting you'll have to keep it watered 2 plus inches a week to keep it out of dormancy. Just be prepared for that. My KBG are elite varieties and I've done several renovations in the past to get heat/disease tolerant cultivars. But the grass is no match for the heat stress it gets every summer. I'm actually thinking of going TTTF out back because of it. Good luck.
I went straight to the end of this video just to be sure if there were going to be any kind of reseeding or grass was going to be put down on that soil, other wise I wont be able to sleep until next video XD. So now I'm back to the beginning.
