Lawyer Rips Alex Murdaugh for Stealing Millions from Clients Who Trusted Him

Convicted family killer Alex Murdaugh appeared in a South Carolina courtroom Tuesday to receive his sentence after pleading guilty to numerous financial crimes. Attorneys who represented many of Murdaugh's victims slammed the disgraced lawyer for stealing millions from clients who trusted him. "He was a thief and he stole and he lied," Eric Bland said to Murdaugh as the victims stood behind him.

This is a GOOD man!!! He had me in tears at “predatory behavior.” I weep for Gloria!!! 😭 I have two adult children (per TX family law statute) with special needs. This hits hard as an Advocator. I have so much appreciation for the lawyers in this case. That is all but the defense attorneys! They are as shameful as Alex. These plaintiff attorneys ain't no ambulance chasers! They truly care about the families they're representing. I hope, if I'm ever in a situation like these poor people, I have attorneys like these representing me! Thank you Mr. Tinsley, Mr. Bland, Mr. Waters and Judge Newman for seeking justice for ALL of Alex Murdaugh's victims.

I would like to add John Meadors, who gave such a powerful closing argument for the prosecution. Thanks to all prosecutors for holding Alex accountable. This was a such a complex case. And thanks to SLED for their diligent work and enduring defense attacks on their professional work.

" I just left my mamma's house. She's over there with Shelly. Git somebody over there! Git em over there! They're by themselves!" I have his closing practically memorized 😂😂.

Attorney Eric Bland gave an outstanding speech! Thank you. Yes, he was a predatory thief, and he should drink from the same cup of justice. Thank you for being a truth teller. I applaud you and the Judge.
