The Stripology Ruler is a game changer! Yes it's pricey, but it is totally worth it. My cutting is so much more accurate and faster. Love it!

I keep finding new uses for mine, so I think it’s worth the price. I have been using it to square up the corners of quilts lately, for example.
@toothvetia
@toothvetia Год назад
I used to think that and still use the ruler but it’s easier to cut yourself with it as you stabilize across a cutting line. Also I have placed my rotary cutter into the wrong line before and cut something wrong but I guess you could measure wrong with any ruler.
@Cassandra-..-
@Cassandra-..- Год назад
@@toothvetia I mark the lines with a “dash” of Washi tape now, and that has helped cut down on going into the wrong cutting line for me.

The stripology ruler, or the June Tailor ruler for cutting strips, makes cutting so much more accurate, and it's faster. I use a weight on the right side of the ruler due to its size.

I have a Stripology XL ruler that I use all the time. It is amazingly fast to cut strips. I occasionally use It to square up blocks, but mainly to cut strips. You can also cut strips of variable sizes at one time...ie four 2 1/2" strips and three 5" strips. Total must be less than or equal to 20" . Using the GE design little arrow markers is really helpful when cutting multiple sizes. Honestly, you will be amazed at how fast you can cut lots of strips!

Thanks for the weekend quilt. This is a simple to make. I just wanted to say, you do a great job showing the steps, however, I don't see you squaring up those edges. I'm sure you realize that a 10" sq from several fabric manufactures are NOT 10". yours was 10.125" and that is why your 5"sq wasn't 5" to match up to the strips you cut. Please know that I am not dishing you in any way, I am only hoping to make your next quilt experience better and easier. Texas says hello

I do own a Stripology Ruler and I love the idea of it. Maybe it is operator error but I find that it takes more time to get my rotery cutter into the slot and the sharp edge of the cutter chops away at the ruler slot. When I can get it into the slot it works very well. In the end I find it much quicker to just use my regular 6 X 24 inch ruler and be done. I enjoy your videos. They are clear and easy to follow.

I do not like the stripology ruler. Many times it doesn't cut all the way through the fabric and when you lift it up the strips often move. Sometimes you cut in the wrong lines unless you take the time to use the little arrows. For long strips you have to fold the fabric over which creates more problems with cutting all the way through. It is just more time consuming. I know everyone has their preference and that's great! I have a few friends that love it but that's my opinion for what it's worth. 😊

Thank you. Do you consider far quarters a precut? I also have lots of mini charms.

Yes I do! Anything that comes cut down from the full width of fabric is typically considered a pre-cut.

Hi Paula, unfortunately I can't assist with printing issues because each computer and printer varies but I can try to email you another copy of the pattern and you can try downloading/printing it that way. Email me at hailey@haileystitches.com if you'd like to give that a try!

Omg! Love this pattern!!! I’m going to cut up some of my fat quarter stash! I hear you about piecing one at a time. I’m the same! 😂 I see quilters doing that webbed piecing and I’m like oh no! My blocks would be so messed up! Haha!

I have so many layer cakes. This is an awesome way to use! Would you just take away blocks for a smaller quilt?

I have those strip pooch rulers can't recall the brand. Had them about 15 or 20 years. Love them. So perfect. 😉

I have a Kaffe Fassett layer cake that I think I’ll use this pattern for. This is perfect for that. Thank you for your soft explanation and simplification of explaining how you quilt. BTW, ant Kaffe fabrics would be good to see you utilize in a tutorial.
