Lazy Daisy Cake is a moist milky cake topped with a coconut caramel topping. This is simply delicious and very easy to make. Well worth trying as it takes little time and is most rewarding.

And can be made in a small kitchen. Thanks for the video. The directions were clear, not hazy, the cake was so good it was crazy, so don"t be so lazy, just bake it like Daisy.

LOL, very funny. Working in my little kitchen is certainly a challenge with two tripods with cameras on. But I will work it all out soon.

Called "hot milk cake" in my house when I was growing up. Loved it!

Hi J.K. That's interesting. I guess lots of these things have different names in some places.

I'm very excited to make this cake, Geoff. I have fond memories of my grandmother bringing it for dessert on Sundays.

This looks superb Geoff. I have tried a few of your recipes now and they are always lovely. This one next I think. I have a tin of condensed milk caramel that I need to use, do you think that would work ok instead of making the caramel?
@geoffsbakingblog
@geoffsbakingblog 3 года назад
Hi Lucky13Lucky. Yes I think the caramel will be fine. but you wont need to use the whole tin. I think I would use about 1/2 to 2/3 of the tin, and heat it to mix with the coconut. Then pour it onto the cake mixture. You will be able to see whether you need to add a little more.

Hello, Geoff. New subscriber here :) Is this usually eaten as a cake, or as a pudding?

Hi Clement. This cake is an American one I believe and is eaten as a cake. But I think it would also be perfect with some custard, for pudding.

Hi, I have never tried to bake things without eggs but I did a quick search on the internet and found this web page, which gives some suggestions: www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/955371/baking-without-eggs/
