Testing the class 1 BF-Goodrich 1.9x4.19” outer diameter tires from Pro-Line, also doing a flex/articulation test on the Pro-Line Big Bore Shocks installed on the Xtra Speed Cantilever rear shock setup. Using 100wt shock oil. Finally I wanted to see how the body performs with the rear roll cage installed, if it is a big hinderance or if it is tollerable to run with on a scale trail run. All up the test was conclusive and I found the shocks to perform excellently, i wouldn’t have expected any less from shocks costing “$120 AUD” a pair so $240 for a set. The tires were brilliant. They offered very good grip as per expected from Pro-Line and again from the price point of $60 a pair. $120 per set. The cantilever set up from xtra speed offers good versatility for those who don’t want to make holes in the pickup bed. “(Me)”.. The TrX4 is getting a little old now. 7 months of use pretty much every single day for 3-4 hours per day. The gears are getting noisier and the axles and diffs are also starting to show their age. The diff lock servos from Power HD “TR4” are still ok and so is the steering servo which was only replaced 2 weeks ago with the Yeah Racing 33kg coreless metal gear water proof HV servo, Very quick response time and I would say it has at the very least around 23KG of power even though it advertises 33KG. Much better than the 26KG power HD servo I use on the RC4wd d90 defender.
Test was a success and I am very happy with the outcome and results.
Happy crawing to everyone.
Warmest Refards to you all.
