Great review Opaz If it sounds like it looks it will be a winner. I was just going to buy an 2 Evolve 50s. Also heard that they are bringing out the Maui 28 G3 with a mixer installed in early 2024. I am going to wait for those. Thanks again.
Ok it's well made, nice build quality, but I think it's way more important to know if it's louder than a evox j8, compare the output with other column... The lows extension... The spl on clipping...
I've watched a lot of videos over the past few weeks. Yours, by far, are the best videos on this subject. Thanks for such great work. Any thoughts on the Maui 44 G2? Is it an older model with the name G2 vs G3?
Thanks 👍🏼 It's 2-3 years older, more output & very heavy. I did demo one but was underwhelmed for the price. The 28G3Mix is one to look out for in 2024. I will be getting one
@@DarrinJackson76Don't look into the name too much G2 vs G3. The 44's are a bit older, but The 28 and 11 G3's were updated to match the look of the 44 G2 so that says something instead of them updating/upgrading across the line. The 44's will depend on what you're using them for "room type/ size". I actually found the sub to be lighter or more manageable than a QSC 181 but that may be because of the shape of the boxes.
I like your direct and no BS approach to your reviews 🤌🏾. I currently own 2xAlto ts415 speakers (no subs) which I use for all my bar and small wedding gigs and whilst I get great feedback etc I’m looking to invest in my first array system for ease of set up. Do you think it’s worth just getting a 15” or 18” sub to go with my Alto’s or invest in a Maui 28 G3?
Honestly if you're doing well with the Altos keep them, as the saying goes "if it ain't broke" The huge problem is all these arrays popping up forcing extremely content dj's to upgrade. Even worse those like me enticing people to upgrade with the new products I'm buying and others worse out there that say you need and must buy a product they're endorsing or getting % commission from (stores etc) I think I could do all of my wedding dj jobs with 2 old Mackie 450's and maybe a sub for more reinforcement if needed. Maybe you should consider a sub for the larger events that require the reinforcement. Whether it's a 15" or 18" you will be the expert that knows what's best for your setup
You deserve an award for the quality of your videos. And thank god you removed your usual intro haha. Great job. Are you going to make another video about the subs vs JBL/bose? Quality of the column is nothing without on par sub (or if you got to set up an additional sub).
Thanks 😆 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sI2I06uaEZA.html Done this 5 months ago ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s6Zk8bZ7qhU.html 3 years ago, never had the jbl then Had the bose Pro16 about 3 years ago (I bought 2) and got rid
Bose L1 pro32 is very poor in quality. Fit and finish is bad, sound quality is bad no mid, just high & rumblings from subwoofer for bass. Feedback easily when near a live microphone. I own a pair of Bose pro32 so I know. It’s back in the box and up for sales. Got my pair of 28g3, super happy 😃
I agree I had two pro 8s I returned as the towers failed right out of the box I went to the evolve 30 a year ago and im about 30 gigs in and its awesome, I had the Ld and know they are a favorite but I had them and customer service was a nightmare when they first came out maybe now they are better, there was in the beginning a big problem with the subs just my experience
