Please try listening to her song The Journey, and We could be in love (its a duet though) and her cover of I Honestly Love you (these songs are on her first intl album sometime in 1990s after she did Miss Saigon)... her voice is clear and crisp.... flawless i may say... thanks for appreciating her too guys!!! one proud Filipino here...

OMG Finallyyyyy! Lea Salonga is a legend in Broadway. My fave from all the Pinoy singers by far! she won numerous awards for her role as Kim in Miss Saigon, Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables. she was chosen to perform both at the LesMis 10th yr aniversary as eponine here in this video and as Fantine on the 25th yr anniversary concert! She is the disney singing voice of Jasmine in Alladin and Mulan. Gosh love her to death! that angel like crystal clear voice until today she looks and sounds perfect like she did'nt aged at all! Watch "A Little Fall of Rain" too her duet with Micheal Ball it always gives me chills and tears watching it..💋💖👌

How could you love this song and not know lea's on broadway!!! Lea's salonga's On My Own is basically The standard. A lot of these "new" versions are based on Lea's. Although I really love Ruffelle's as well, Lea's version basically put Eponine on the map. anyway, love ya both!

Lea Salonga's "Still Hurting" (In Rehearsal) is like one of the most emotional I've heard from her. The performance was so poignant, you wouldn't think it was just rehearsal. The song is from "The Last 5 Years" musical. One of the absolute best from Lea (and from anyone to be honest).

I used to watch LeaSalonga when she was in her grade school and i’m in highschool...and i’m excited to go home to watch show Tittled #LoveLeah. She and Her Brother Was the Host in that Kids Show, Shes Already Have A Good Command In English Her Accent is So Clear and She Sings So Good....and i wasn’t Surprised when i heard that She Will Play Annie In the Stage... Shes Already Professional Even When She Was Just A Kid.

Her reunion with Brad Kane singing A whole new world is also amazing and heartwarming at the same time. Hearing them sing again our childhood disney song. Just a beautiful way of bringing back of memories. She also sang her song "Reflections" in Disney Expo in 2011 and hell she still sound the same 👌👌👌

She's a Disney Royalty and is the Disney hall of fame already....original singing voice of Princess Jasmine from Alladin and Mulan in Mulan. She's also known and well respected in the theater world..Miss Saigon and Les Miss

She was already a theatre actress at a very young age in the Philippines, entered the showbiz there too but also gave time for studies. She was a Med student when she got the big break as Kim in Miss Saigon (the original). Miss Saigon in London, and then when it was brought to the US, she almost did not get there. But Cameron McIntosh insisted she has to be in or no Miss Saigon there. She then got roles in Les Mis, and so many other musical theatre acts, concerts all over the world, Disney movie theme songs, etc. She is world-class!

She's Philippines Broadway Diva Has multiple awards in her name She's the singing voice of Jasmine (A Whole New World) and singing voice Mulan (Reflection). Her voice is not as powerful as those that can belt but her crystal clear voice is like a shining diamond. :)

Among those recognitions already mentioned, Ms. Lea likewise belongs to a very elite group of theatre actors who have won all five major theatre acting awards for a single role: Tony, Laurence Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World. The Theatre World Awards can only be won once and only for a debut performance.

This is from the Les Miserables 10th anniversary concert with the 'dream cast'. Lea singing as Eponine. She also sang 'I Dreamed a Dream' as Fantine in the 25th anniversary concert. And she sang in both roles on Broadway (obviously not at the same time:)

Lea (leh-yah) has been on countless musical theaters, both on broadway, west end and other countries. This was the 10th anniversary concert of les mis and she was also in the 25th anniv as fantine. :)

Lea ("Lay-a") was specially selected to be part of the "Dream Cast" of this 10th anniversary special of Les Miserables. The whole cast is truly remarkable and deserving of their parts. Also, instead of doing the normal stage direction, the cast performed into microphones while the rest of the cast sat behind them on stage. This production was at the Royal Albert Hall in 1995 and was broadcast on PBS and then sold on VHS (I still have my copy!). Not to show my age too much, but I prefer this 10th special over the 25th special. Although Lea kicks ass in that production as well--she plays Fantine in the 25th and delivers as usual. Yah, she's a beast.

lea began her singing career as a child in the Philippines she perfomed the title role of annie in the musical theater and realeased some songs. she is also the original miss saigon. she won the role beating hundreds from around the world. she won a tony and olivier awards. she also was the singing voice of jasmin in alladin and Mulan. She mostly perform in Broadway. this is the song she used in her audition for miss saigon role. she did some pop like we could be in love with her alladin partner and also some local songs. but she is really mostly classically trained.

well, since most already mentioned her being a disney princess and hottsam did mentioned this, she's fantine in the 25th anniv of les mos so, check that out as well. now as for OPM songs, look for her sana maulit muli rendition on her concert. lastly, you would enjoy her concerts coz she always pics an audience to sing with her singing a whole new world.. :)

One of my fave LES MIZ songs! (There are lots) One that makes me tear up is her character's "A Little Fall of Rain". Anyway, the acting is kind of limited here because this was the LES MIZ concert, not the actual performance of the whole musical. She returned to LES MIZ years later to play Fantine....Her name is pronounced as "Le-ya". As for other songs, just listen to the singing voices of Jasmine in "A Whole New World" (ALADDIN) and Mulan in "Reflection" (MULAN), Or maybe find vids of her doing MISS SAIGON (she was the first ever Kim). Maybe look for "Sun and Moon". When it comes to recording, she's not the belt-out type of singer, but I assure you, she's got that range, and she gets better as she ages because she continues to train. Also, I've seen her perform several times. Oh, find "The Journey" from the LITTLE TRAMP OST. It's a very nice song.

This is the song that made Broadway respect asians like Lea. The Broadway actors were just waiting for Lea to mess up and prove that asians are not meant for broadway but fortunately Lea nailed it. They were impressed how good she is as musical theater actress. Cheers to Lea that she practically put Asia more specifically the Philippines in the map of musical theater globally.

I suggest you watch her 2 videos of A Whole New World in a single reaction video: watch first A Whole New World (the one that you could see that is kind of old and they are in the studio) then watch A Whole New World on Good Morning America :) You'll definitely love both. :)
