Man this takes me to a time chillin in Garfield Park with the family during family bbq's we used to have once a month and for birthdays! man, time is a curse and blessing at the same time.
This is the definition of real hip-hop! This group was a big part of my childhood! As a teenager being in high school at the time, I really connected with this song! It kinda felt like it was the theme music to my life in school! These are kinds subject matter that should be rapped about in music for teenagers, not all the guns, drugs and killing! I miss when hip-hop was about having fun and positivity!
ive always heard about LONS n always wanted to get a cassette....now back in them days in SOuth Africa it was sooo difficult to get shit... n I Been a Busta Fan since the COming....Youtuhe is doing a solid right now
@@shmiqqy there is not a lot of rapper who can't stay steady as Redman or Ice cube for exemple, but B in is prime had one of the smoothest flow, damn the 90's were good
This song grew on me--mainly because of that cool piano sample--it's trip to see Busta Rhymes as a teen--even back then he had that crazy rapping style he became known for. Underrated group from hip-hop's heyday.
LOTNS reminds me of how fun it was being young and carefree. They brought so much excitement and energy into their music. True Legends of the Golden Age.
yo i saw them perform at a show in Richmond,VA IN DEC '91 at the coliseum on the bill with PE, Naughty by Nature, Geto Boys, Son of Bazerk, Latifah, MC Lyte, and Tim Dog that was the best hip-hop show i've ever seen!!! Never again have i seen so many of the all-time greats share a stage together that was truly a magical period in hip-hop!!!
He was my fav at first...but, then Scenario and Come on Down (w/ QTip and Big Daddy Kane) happened close to the same time. Plus seeing live performances on In Living Color and Arsenio = a star was born (especially on Arsenio w/ATCQ) ....
Priceless memories of that day.....it was a good day. Peep the b-boy in the blue hoodie, blue Knicks cap and the Red/Orange 8ball jacket in the bleachers reppin Strong Island with Busta Bus. peace......
Classic Hip Hop.....And The queen in the beggining of the video was GETTIN BUSY in front of the Lunch Table LMAOOOOOO! and she was fully dressed, Respect L.O.N.S.
I love how in the end, to show disapproval of the teacher Busta and Dinco boo, but Charlie Brown throws in an "Aaah!", like it's a regular reaction to things
What??? This album is a classic then and now. I was in school then so I guess I could relate to it. It went gold which was good for a hip hop group at the time. They were ahead of their time.
I agree with ya there. Some damn good music being dropped back then, LONS, Organized, 2Black 2Strong, King Sun, MOP, etc etc, the list goes on and on.....
