Here we go again! I don't know if I'm more excited for Leagues or Doubleshine's content leading up to it!

The League releasing the day before Thanksgiving was a real gut punch for me... I had prepared my boss that I was going to (finally) take some PTO for a few days for the launch. Now I just take one day off, and the other two days daycare will be closed, so they aren't exactly "days off"... guess I'll see how much I can get away with doing on mobile over the holiday.

I really appreciate the changes to the mega rares. During the last leauges I really wanted to try raids for the first time. Unfortunately with the benefits to Soloing, I fell off towards the last few weeks.. Raids are a big goal for my main. And I wanted that opportunity to learn during leauges. Thanks for all your leauges guides doubleshine. Looking forward to the discord discoveries. -let's not forget about the free points from Rantz this time. 😅

definitely going TOB for my raid region, to me its so much fun to do with friends and if we can all roll purples it will probably be the fastest way to hit those drops since its pure combat and no puzzles/prep/etc

I feel like Desert is going to to be the best raid region with the new changes. I want to try a ranged build (assuming that’s the way this will work) and TBow with the rest of the TOA ranged armor is going to be pretty nice. That said, I am probably going to be basing regions on what echo bosses are out there. I only play one account, and new content is best content.

i personally only play osrs during leagues so it just hits different for me, played all 4 of them so far and always excited for them

Thinking about some Colo and awakened boss practice with varlamore+frem+desert, should be fun messing around with ranged options as you have tbow, venator bow, axolotl, quiver, masori, venator ring etc. Honestly one of my main goals is just messing around with a cracked venator bow in max range gear in inferno and colo

Varlamore is also good because of the construction shop there so you don't need frem for a decent poh, but I think of you're picking it for range (which is the only style that should even be considering it) you're also gonna take desert, which desert elite gives you unlimited nardah tps so the poh loses some value there

I'm surprised how quickly we are getting another leagues but I'm also extremely excited!

Varlamore's shaping up to be a strong pick the more I play on my main...good slayer dungeons, self sustaining hunter resources, and functional equivalent basic shops to other regions are all strong reasons apart from the uniques. I'm just gonna find it hard in particular to give up a spellbook region for this 😭 I really liked my Fremmy-Desert-Kourend setup from last League since it carried with it so much QoL regional unlocks to work for, plus a fully unlocked spellbook.

I hear you on the auto-completing quests, but I think some of them like Grand Tree are worth keeping around. On top of being an actually good quest, it's iconic and makes getting into combat through quest XP a viable route. Also, I do hope they remove the 2000 monkey laps task because I already did it last time :^)

Since I did Melee and Magic the past few leagues, thinking of a main Ranged this time. We need more information before any real decision can be made. Asgarnia, Kourend, and Varlamore are probably the meta choices for them.

I'm pretty ok with not being able to play the 2nd day of leagues for Thanksgiving. Missing the crazy leagues congestion isn't really a bad thing.

Desert is probably still going to be the GOAT just because purples are SO easy to get there. Even if berserker doesn't come back (as fun as it was i hope it doesn't) then running 650+ solos is still a purple every 30-45 mins. Compare that to cox where its a purple every 2-3 hours and tob where its a purple every 1-2 hours

I really want to learn ToB but just haven't been confident enough to do it on my main, so I'm hoping to use Leagues to dip my toes in and get a feel for it

Dropping the day before thanksgiving is a stupid decision, but totally in line with Jagex.

Morytania for tob gonna be my raid go to. fast completions and the most fun raid - especially with a melee focused build..if those exist this time Working plan is Kand-Varl-Mory

it would have been really nice if they would run a league thats non-iron maybe you could only buy items from your areas, idk. I had a lot of friends go mage route and quit because they went dry on the only item that mattered for their build

I think I'll go varlamore regardless. New stuff is fun after two region locked leagues already, and perilous moons alone seems amazing for gearing up regardless of what combat style I need.

Right now my plan is to go Asgarnia/Kourend/Freminik and spec magic if that's still a thing. Asgarnia for GWD bosses and good skilling options. Kourend for Raid, Ancestral and Augury. Freminik for the Echo Dag Kings and also I hated not having a maxed house last league.

So the question is what non mega rare uniques do you want/need, still makes zeah the best choice imo

I really am banking on varlamore being good, i feel like the xp there is gonna be nutty with the -armor nagua. I still think cox might win other raids out just for prayer scrolls alone 😅

Extremely happy it's 8 weeks, I have a lot less free time than last league and hearing that it was gonna be shorter was making me not want to play

Very unfortunate start date, but I'm very excited for it nonetheless. Varlamore, especially after the expansion, is gonna be a sure pick for me this time around

Honestly, having it start on a vacation day is nice I don't think ANY league has launched without a hiccup or reset, right?

Kinda annoyed they’re launching leagues basically on thanksgiving, it’s just gonna be impossible to actually play with everything going on. At least it’s 8 weeks.

I feel like the region lock is kind of ruined by the best weapons basically be obtained anywhere (all 3 raid items and the new weapons), I'd of preferred to pick like 4 regions or even 5. Balancing out the weaker regions with new weapons would of been better aswell, adding unique drops to like vorkath, making wilderness weapon effects work in other regions so that its useful, add zammy spear to hydra drop table

I wish leagues were after the holidays myself. Not that I can't play its just that winter is cold and depressing and it would be a nice distraction if it were to start at like Jan 10 to like Apr 10.

as an American, i don't give a fuck that its starting right before Thanksgiving.... if you are traveling just like get on mobile. or travel a day earlier. or just like play when you finish traveling. or dont travel. also it's fucking 8 weeks long... if it was anything like last league, most everyone will be done halfway through anyway. not like anyone is going to be missing out on much.

i have no idea of what to do in this leagues, the previous one, the one i actually played seriously i had a plan, i wanted the zaryte crossbow and to go range while also exploring the wilderness without fear of PKs, i got the crossbow after a long time and it was nerfed (the relic that reduced sp attack was nerfed) so i couldn't use it well, but i did have some fun in the wilderness, even if i never got the full voidwaker tho, even with enhanced drops. THis time i have no idea, i wanted to go mage but i heard i'm basically required to do raids and i never did a raid before, so...there is that, i also have no clue as to how to build a good melee, so...yeah, i'm lost Any tips for me? (i havent played the game since valarmore so i don't know what is actually there)

The launch date is perfect because it's after most of my deadlines... But it's also awful because it's right at the end of my study leave 🤣
