This is some theory crafting I did for the optimal expert rumour block list: Aco: Complete rumours here Teco: Sunlight antelope Ornus: Grey chinchompas or sabre-toothed kyatts Cervus: Sabre-toothed kebbits Gilman: Grey chinchompas or sabre-toothed kyatts That leaves you with these potential rumours: Orange salamanders Dark kebbits Red salamanders Red chinchompas Dashing kebbits Moonlight moths Tecu salamanders
For Masters you cannot block all three of moonlight moth, moonlight ant, and tecu salamanders. Moonlight ant is only on a novice. Tecu and M moth are the same expert master.
I’ve gone from 46-69 hunter so far with the runours. In my experience, I HATE the butterfly tasks and I never hear anyone complain about them. I actually enjoy the deadfall, I’ve never really gone dry with them and I feel like they’re pretty chill. Were as the butterfly ones are terrible xp, and they take atleast 15-20 minutes to get the item and they’ve very click intensive.
I now have 4 total rumours for masters: Red chins Moonlight antelope Dashing kebbits Herbiboar Great for pet hunting! I couldn't find a way to get rid of the moonlight antelope without getting longer tasks back in the list.
I can't for the life of me get teco to give me sunlight antelope, no others are currently assigned it. Is it bugged or am I getting Fkd with bad luck from him
Why are you (and others) blocking things like red chins? It is excellent XP. Is the thought process just to speedrun the tasks? Is the strat different for pre 91 people? Sorry, im just kinda confused and trying to understand this better.
Lots of us already have the chin pet, 99 hunter, or no need for the money from red chins and just want fast task completions for quetzin pet, huntsmans kit and guild hunter outfit.
Chins or box traps generally are a particularly awful experience for a lot of players because there is no downtime. It's one of those methods of training where the more you click, the more exp you gain, and it has a relatively high resolution. Contrast with something like pitfalls where you may have 5 or 10 seconds of downtime between each kill where you're just waiting
you block them cause if youre doing rumors, box traps take the longest by far. xp and chins are nice but specifically for rumor rewards they are a curse on the world.
Chins are fantastic if you want Chins and also pretty solid XP especially if you tick manipulate, they're just slow tasks so if you're looking for more completions and don't really need chins for cash, I would skip them. In particular, I don't really like Grey Chins and even Red chins are kinda slow before lvl 80.
They should have it where there is 1 hunter master and all the new items just drop and can only be 1 at a time per account and you just turn them in for rewards no rumors just extra stuff for hunting what you want to hunt
starting to think im the only guy who doesnt like red salamanders, sadly this change happend the day after i hit 80 hunter so im going to have to do herbiboar or tecus now :/
idk about you options that seem bad from a ironman stand point my block is for hunter as follows novice:sabre-tooth kebbit adept Ornus : sabre tooth kyatt adept cervus sunlight moth expert aco :red salamanders i keep teco for grey and red chins when i reach lvl 80 herbi is also on the table which imo is good for anyone one doing experts
Where do you hunt red Sally’s? Only place I know is zmi place and the trees are super spread out so it sucks. I’d rather do orange salamanders than red
Try behind the ZMI altar, kinda where there's a little graveyard. There's 4 spots that are pretty close to one another (much closer than near the monks)
a toggle feels weird, completing quest unlocks more of the game, that also how it works for slayer with dragonslayer or other similar unlocking quests, sure you can optimize a new account specificly for this, but you jsut gotta roll with it at this point unless they also want to change slayer that way
I'm currently unable to complete rfd, get my kingdom, complete hard ardy and lumbridge diary and a bunch of other things because I don't want dragon tasks. Mainly because i dont want iron/steel dragon's because i dont have the herblore requirement for the antifire pots yet. (Currently 40 slayer). I did complete eagles peak prior to the hunting guild release so yeah I can't roll that back.
my master block will be, red sala - red chins - tecu sala - herbi both moonlights are same building so its fine and sunlight is aright only reason why herbi going block i will be sick for them when i hit 91 hunter
You can do it either way you'd like! Typically I start with Novice and Move up though as Novice has by far the widest selection of possible tasks, so it's easier to get a block from Novice first instead of fishing for one last specific block.
