Battery and modem, that is what google needs.

I think for most people, a modem is more important than peak performance. Do we know anything about the new Exynos modem 5400? What about tensor G5 Will it still utilize the Exynos modem? It's extremely difficult to develop a modem, even Apple pays huge amounts for the Snapdragon modem.

Your previous video on the Tensor 5 processor sounds more encouraging but at least this looks to be making progress.

I think even my Samsung S8+ was fast enough lol, but what I think Google needs to fix is the battery consumption when 5G is active. That is when I notice my battery starts to drain quickly.

Thinking Google will skip the Pixel 9 and choose a different number.

I think they've ran with the Exynos base for 3 iterations and I don't think a 4th will solve all their woes, battery life, thermals, meh modems. Personally, I'll probably wait till they're back on TSMC. I mean all things being equal the improvements from the G1 to G3 are negligible especially if you consider how much of a night and day difference there was between the SD 8G1 and 8G2 (even the 8+G1).

Even Tensor G3 is handy with single core multi core and gpu scores. It was lagging in memory abd ux scores

Google really needs to move away from Samsung foundry to TSMC and I am glad they are doing it for the G5.

Pixel with Samsung chip manufacturing process is like Apple's Macbooks on Intel. So stoked for TSMC to be the Tensor's big moment

They need to get more performance on the Tensor soc, but without increasing max Hertz. Slower speed better batter and better performance. Overclocking to the hilt has repercussions, like Apple M1 was so good, they have to work hard to even double performance.

Interesting, my P8 Pro scores sligthly over 1mil on v10.2.6, closer to those leaked G4 scores.

Watching on my laggy 6a now. Gotta wait 2 more years to upgrade to Samsung s24 ultra. 😅

Very funny that you are relying on that russian site. I am originally russian speaking, and regularly watching content from those guys Rozetked. They like pixel and windows same as you. The name sounds exactly like it is written. It means to translate something like sockety. Rozetka in Russian means just electrical socket. So rozetked is something around socket. As I see you second time relying on this site so here you go for better understanding them.

It's not about the performance. It's battery life and how hot it gets. In India, it's just unusable.

I only care about it not heating up.

Snapdragon will still be better though even though competition is good.

Do not buy the pixel 9 series. This tensor in the 9 will be the last pixel chip that samsung will make for google. Wait for the pixel 10 because the chips will then be made by tsmc, who also make chips for Qualcomm and will be much better.

There are lots of apps that could use a better performance.. specially #mcraw, with raw videos. Pixel 8 pro is one of the worst performance phones out there.. drop frames really easily..
