I think it looks more like a modern update on ‘the two doctors’ style sontarans. Even tho all classic who sontarans hav pretty much the same design lol
Which was the room , if you room movie as the one where the mother n child are kidnapped and the one based on a true story then that movie was amazing I mean aside from being based on a true story of people that was kidnapped of course that's horrid Haha but the movie was amazing of course if it's a different room film you are on about then disregard everything I said haha
With the exception of the WI-FI joke. Resolution is one of my favourite Dalek episodes. That Dalek is desperate and is willing to do anything to survive after being buried for a thousand years or something. I also really like the fact it's not in it's case for most of the episode. Sort of allows us to see a different side to them which I quite like. Also helps that when it's in the case that it's a complete bad ass Dalek. That single Dalek killed more people than the Daleks killed in the entire Moffat Era(with possible exception of Into the Dalek).
Love the new Sontaran design. Don't mind the old one. Looking forward to them and The Weeping Angels. I hope The Bannerman Road Gang returns There's 2 parodies of the Doctors at Christmas. Im planning a series arc with Omega as the main villain. I would love it if Ace K9 Romana and all of the spinoff characters returned.
Evie's hate of series 10 makes it hard for me to listen to her sometimes. Loved the Doctor Mysterio episode, btw. It's a wonderful love letter to superhero movies. Last Christmas is awesome too.
I have a plan to retcon the Timeless Children. I’m still hoping The parallel universe theory that 12s regeneration was so powerful it broken the Tardis navigational systems and pushed the Doctor into another universe since Timelords can travel between universes. Once the TARDIS entered Ruth’s universe, The TARDIS almost perfectly entered that universe triggering a forgotten system to travel between universes safely with dampening the universes back in the Tennant era. 13 then later assumed it was her own universe and ran into Ruth (the Doctor of that universe) and the Master (Ruth’s Master) thinking that Jodie’s 13 was just a past incarnation. Back in the proper universe Jack later steals a ship to follow the Doctors last know coordinates. When Jack finds a small rift left by the TARDIS, he follows into that alternate universe just enough before it closes behind him. Jack is determined to find the Doctor and bring her back to our universe knowing the consequences of universal tampering from Torchwood experience knowing the Doctor is linked to the Matrix in some way. Jack finds out the events through illegal sources and ways (because it’s Jack 😘) of series 11 and 12 realising that the Timeless Children has some recent significance. Jack later then tracks as much as he can later landing on The Lone Cyberman being a pivotal point before destruction (both irl and in the story 🤣). So as any hero would do, Jack sets out to find The Doctor and SUCCESS! He does! Except he teleports Graham to his ship instead of The Doctor {Fugitive of the Jadoon - Series 12} and realising he’s in trouble, attempts to send a message in the meantime so he can hopefully prevent universal destruction. {The Ascension of the Cyberman -Series 12} Towards the end, The Master appears out of a portal from the wreck of his universes Gallifrey. This is phase 2 of the universes breaking down leading to destruction. While Jack is on the run, he gets captured by the Jadoon because he’s not registered by the galaxy (since he’s part of our universe). These events will lead into Revolution of the Daleks (hopefully). {The Timeless Children -Series 12} The Doctor is later revealed by Chibnalls destruction to be The Timeless Child (WORST DOCTOR WHO EPISODE EVER.) I’m thinking that The Timeless Child was actually Ruth from that universe. The master technically overall DIDN’T LIE but he just didn’t know that Jodie’s Doctor Isn’t his Doctor but rather Ruth is. The Doctor believes this and is obviously trapped in the matrix. My guess is that in that time, The Matrix was scanning The Doctor unsure weather she is The Doctor of that universe (Ruth). She then proceeds to break the Matrix but NOT FROM HER MIND, but rather from the fact that The Matrix was right about The Doctor and it broke from the fact it didn’t recognise Jodie’s Doctor as Ruth’s Doctor. I pray this theory is true. If Chibnall does this it would be the coolest Plot Twist hidden WITHIN A PLOT TWIST!! Also the longest lasting plot twist in the shows history. This theory could come to an end when Jack tells The 13th Doctor this was the case the whole time and the Universe is disintegrating. Jodie’s last episode as The Doctor could have Ruth rejoin the oath to never be cruel or cowardly and come to terms that her universe is fading and the attempt to save the universe with The Doctor, Ruth, Jack and the Jadoon is the plot as they figure out a way to return to the old universe and save the one they were trapped in. This of course ends in one spectacular finale as Ruth and The Master unfortunately dying just as everything could be safe. The Doctor in a fit of rage comes to her senses and slows down to think. In one final effort The Doctor takes her TARDIS to the closing portal with Jack and flies straight into it RETURNING INTO OUR UNIVERSE AGAIN!!! Jack is still in the TARDIS but 13 is somewhere else. Jack lands the TARDIS on earth with UNIT waiting there to keep the TARDIS safe. Everyone think the Doctor is dead and officially announce The Doctor has died. A montage similar to The Dark Knight Rises (2012) ending plays as people close to the Doctor get subtle messages that the Doctor is still alive. 13 then anonymously visits her companions and helps them out in any way possible. Yaz joins Torchwood, Ryan is approached by UNIT, Jack is given a chance to rebuild Torchwood (giving it a revival for season 5) And Graham is cured from his cancer and even given a small amount of 1 million Dollars to finally relax. 13 pulls off a heist to steal her TARDIS back and takes off. We later reveal that She has been wounded by the universal impact while travelling through the portal roughly and begins to regenerate.
Maybe when the doctor breaks outta jail some of the other inmates break out ( we know there is an angel in the prison). Maybe the doctor is rounding them up cause she feels responsible. That could include the sontarans?
I predict that the Creative team may be adapting a story Called Pureblood from the Seventh Doctor Comic Run of Doctor Who Magazine. In this story sontarans were a lot taller, had five digits and looked nothing like they do now. This story is about a war of the "Pureblood" sontarans, and the generic cloned Sontarans. It is a really interesting concept, and I would love for them to go this direction.
Wild rumour which I know you know is that the 10th Doctor comes back. But everyone seems to forget the half human Doctor that RTD created just in case Tennant wanted to come back someday because Tentoo can age. Gotta say it. Don't believe it but I can dream, can't I? I mean, 13 will need help if you have the Daleks....Sontarans and Weeping Angels. You got Jack but what about some extra assistance? Oh well, I know I know....don't say it.
Something that only occurred to me recently was that the weeping angels photos could very easily be for the lonely assassins game coming in the spring instead. Could be either.
Hold on.... What if the house is Sarah Jane's house... And maybe the episode is gonna reintroduce family Smith and maybe we could get a new spin-off? I mean, I always wanted a Maria spin off tbf... But yeah, it's a long shot but would be cool and would be a great way to announce a new spin off-
she ain't gonna. Hell, the only reason I watched season 10 originally is because of John Simm's Master. Now, I watch it because it's far better than most of the Chibnall Era.
Definitely loving the new classic Sontarans! 😁 They were "okay" in The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky but they just became a joke after that with Strax, etc. Seeing a return to a more classic look and behaviour I feel will do them some good. Just my personal opinion there. 👍
There's an 8th doctor Big Finish story set entirely on the TARDIS at christmas, it's got a bit of adventure going on but it's mostly just things going on in the TARDIS to have the Doctor, his companion Lucie, Susan Foreman and the Doctors great grandson Alex spend time with each other and give them interesting interactions
Apparently the filming for the weeping angels occurred in the same town or city where they filmed the sarah jane adventures. So it may be that team Tardis end up on Bannerman Road? We'll just have to wait and see though.
I hope that these sontarans act like sontarans, unlike the last time they were on the show, where they were just a bunch of cowards. I like the armour, a fun callback to classic who (which is one thing I do like about chibnall, he does acknowledge the classic show more, like the background lore of the doctor) but they aren't amazing. Hopefully we'll get some yaz development in this series. Also are the shippers right about yaz and the doctor? Donna is the best new who companion, so they're just wrong. I love resolution, it's one of the few good dalek stories in new who (we didn't have a good one since stolen earth). I love the return of doctor mysterio, that and the husbands of river song, twice upon a time, the Christmas invasion and the runaway bride are my favourite Christmas specials. Last Christmas to me got ruined right at the end, they should have left Clara as Arnold lady, it fits with the themes better and then we don't get the whole typical Moffat bringing a companion back after there story was over (he did it with both Amy and clara) and we wouldn't then have the worst episode of new who, hell bent. Multi doctors and companions Christmas dinner, big finish where are you? Why aren't you making this right now? Also yeah it would be nice to see 13 chilling with their companions at Christmas. How can you not like the doctor falls (it's one of the only good new who cybermen stories). End of time is awful, skelitor master whose plan doesn't make sense, especially for the master, his resurrection is dumb and the regeneration is annoyingly drawn out. It probably doesn't help that John simm is my least favourite master (I only liked his master in the doctor falls). It also probably doesn't help that I was basically done with the Davis era by then and was tired of the emo Tennant doctor. To me end of time is just everything I didn't like about that whole era crammed into a single story.
Weeping Angels used to be horror-esque, and horror can be slow-paced. As the Chibnall era is pretty slow-paced, I think the Weeping Angel episode will be pretty good. I personally enjoyed the Weeping Angel 2-parter in season 5, but the majority didn't so the Chibnall Angel should make people love them again. I personally prefer the appearances of the Sontarans that were introduced in the RTD era. The medieval Sontarans just feel meh to me. appearance-wise, of course. I'm not a Classic Who fan, so I don't know how terrifying the Sontarans were pre-RTD. Besides, without the RTD-era version... we'd never have Strax who is one of the best Whoniverse characters, imo. Definitely the funniest. On an unrelated note. doesn't anoblegirl look a bit like Masie Williams? The eyebrows and a bit of her face are definitely similar to Masie williams's face.
The worst christmas story is a christmas carol as there is no stakes at all, the best Christmas special (and in my opinion one of the best doctor who story of all time) is the christmas invasion, if chibnal brings back the sycorax for a proper story and not just a back round camoe i will forgive orphan 55 and arachnids in the uk but not the timeless children.
Theory: The weeping angel on the street will be the cliffhanger of the episode. We’ll pan away from the Tardis dematerialising to reveal the Angel watching them. Maybe the Angels want to feed of 13s potential energy?
Maybe for The Doctor to get out the prison she has to release everyone including the monsters and the story arc of Series 13 is the Doctor and Yaz trying to round them all up again in each episode.
I hope not. IMHO the Sontarans are at their best when they're ruthless and warlike and, much as I found Strax fun, I thought Moffat missed the point by making him comedic and endearing.
Best thing about the End of Time was just Warlord Rassilon. Dalton full on had that presence and was OP. He would unpredictably go from calm to impulsive and destructive making the time war seem so much more scarier and ties in Russells finale pattern of time war bosses at the end of each series, was a very meta episode and added to the lore in a very cool way with the references. Shame he turned into a wimpy fart in heaven sent, sucked because they could've him a better threat and more interesting to the plot than just soppy Clara backstepping.
Controversial opinion: Evie just lost ten Who credibility points when she admitted that she detests The Doctor Falls. Twelve gives his life voluntarily and blows himself up to save a mere village worth of youngsters. In a similar position in The Timeless Children Jodie happily ran away and let a frail old man blow himself up to take out the Cyber Lords and save the whole of space and time. Capaldi - heroic self-sacrifice. Jodie - cruel and cowardly.
It's nice seeing returning villains, I just hope that we aren't getting to many and the majority is new villains, as I don't want the show getting oversaturated again like it was starting to feel before series 11. At least it isn't the big three though, they're so over used at this point that I don't even care when they appear on screen anymore. Series 11 not having any helped with that though.
I completely agree about the RTD Sontarans they weren't menacing enough I'm happy being a longtime Classic Who fan that there bringing back the classic sontarans and Resolution I thought was the best Dalek episode since Journey's End because they are making the Daleks menacing again, threatening and scary because throughout Moffatts run they didn't really do anything with them. And there's a show called Dead Ringers that does have a sketch of second, fourth, seventh, ninth and the tenth doctors having having a Christmas dinner together it's hilarious. I wasn't a fan of David Bradley's take on the First Doctor simply because they made him politically incorrect and sexist. Hartnell was never like that from all the episodes I've seen of him.
Santa should exist in dr who and should be a time lord that would explain a lot about him and how he gets around the world in one night his sale is a tardis
Theory for s13: biscuitly, to save the day in revolution, Jodie escapes prison. But in doing so let's out all the prisoners at the same time, and s13 deals with Jodie tryna clean up this mess- hence why we have multiple returning foes for new series- they're all from the prison 👉
I'm of two minds on Revolution of the Daleks. (1) Bringing back Captain Jack, Sontarans and Weeping Angels (and maybe more?) could make for a really good Doctor Who Christm... ummm... Festive special. But then there is (2) Bringing back Captain Jack, Sontarans, Weeping Angels (and maybe more?) could be a desperate "Hail Mary" (as they say in American Football) attempt at bringing back at least some of the fans who , like me, despised The Timeless Child debacle and decided they would never watch the show again. Either way, now they've got me hooked to watch it. Damn you, Chinball!

oh HELL NO! That spin-off is the worst canon spin-off ever made! The only reason I even gave it a shot was because the 12th Doctor had a guest appearance in it.

I really don't like the new Sontaran designs. It just feels likethe old logic of "Colors are unrealistic, we need to make everything grey and black". Also, the Sontarans were supposed to be short since the original series. They were just very inconsistent with that.
It’s really weird watching this because I’ve just watched broadchurch which was written by chris chibnall which was AMAZING!! And I just can’t believe he can write that and then move on to doctor who and write it like that😅😭😭 I kinda forgot that chibnall is considered a ‘bad’ writer (although I do love Jodie!)
