Ashley, I love this recipe!!! I am on week two of my Optavia 5 and 1 program and this recipe was a lifesaver. My son also really likes it and he doesn't like salads! I am going to try your taco salad recipe tomorrow night!
Big Mac salad 7 oz bison, 1 tsp dash, 2 1/2 cups of romaine lettuce, 1/4 cup tomato, 1/4 cup shredded cheese, 2 pickles chopped, 2 tbsp thousand island 👍🏼

I live in VA and couldn’t find the approved dressing either. But I got one that was lower in carbs than all the ones I did find. My husband really enjoyed it, I went ahead and made it for the family, I portioned out mine after cooking.

Hi there! I’m new to OPTAVIA. Isn’t it supposed to be no healthy fats since you have ground beef and that’s only supposed to be 5 ounces with no healthy fats?
I’m on the plan and that’s why she said 95-97% lean. If you’re in that ratio of lean vs fat it’s similar to bison meat and consider leaner which gives you 1 healthy fat. Hopefully that helps you :)

I am just curious, are you weighing your beef after you cook it, or is there a ratio for raw ounces needed to yield the 5oz cooked? this has always confused me, so hoping you have a helpful hint. Thanks
According to my old Medifast materials, 6.25 oz. of ground beef (85% lean) will get you 5 oz. cooked. My list doesn't include a leaner kind of ground beef.
Please put what actually adds up to like one lean three vegetables how many condiments especially for the people are just starting out it will be helpful

Hi Sabrina - I would quadruple the recipe - and portion out as needed. There are a lot of L&G recipes out there that are made with MULTIPLE serving sizes - and that's really helpful for those with families!!
