No you made the right choice in adjusting the length of the necklace and the necklace is absolutely beautiful.I thoroughly enjoyed and am inspired by your demonstration. Hope I can have the patience to get going. Much love and appreciation sister.
I love the way you used the connector. I think a triangle one would not have been enough. And I really like the necklace also. Thank you so much for your videos.
I just love your tutorial. You explain each step so well. You are so sweet. My only question is what are the lengths of each strand. You may have mentioned it but I missed it. I’m in Delaware US. THANK YOU so much! I’m looking forward to more of your tutorials. Have a wonderful day. 😊
Thank you Diana. I'm sorry but I can't tell you exactly because I no longer have the necklace, but if you look at the blog post you will see that I have left a layout diagram for each of the strands. I hope that helps. Here's the link to the post. www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-a-triple-strand-necklace-with-these-easy-steps
I love how you used that connector... would never have thought of that! It's fall here in East Texas but still quite warm during the day! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Linda. I'm glad you got something out of the video. I remember when we lived in Canada, the fall was amazing. It's still very cold here, even though it's spring. Wishing for warmer days and sunshine!
Beautiful necklace! I love how you use a single chain on the upper part that touches your neck. I keep making my necklaces with beads all the way around and they are uncomfortable.
Thank you. I agree. I often find necklaces with beads at the back get caught up in your clothes and are uncomfortable to wear. It also has the added advantage of cutting down on cost.
Thank you so much, Kathy. I'm aware that I didn't actually show the completed necklace so if you would like to see it, there's an image on the accompanying blog post which can be found here: www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-a-triple-strand-necklace-with-these-easy-steps
Beautiful necklace love that you used bead frames. And I do add extension chains, some times I make them long and put an extra design beaded section so you get a look coming and going. Thanks for sharing your lovely design.🌺
Thank you so much Joan. I'm definitely human and learn by my mistakes (lots of them!). I used a 4mm jump ring to attach the little dangle at the end of the extender chain.
I like the way you used the connector. A triangle connector wouldn't have sat the same way.. Very nice look - I think - because unless I'm mistaken you never gave us a full shot of the finished product. Did I miss it?🤪
Hi Deborah, you are correct. I think somehow it got lost in the editing because I made that mistake with the jump rings. It's shown on the thumbnail and in the blog post though. You can't edit a video once it's on RU-vid so there's nothing I can do about it now. Here's a link to the blog post: www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-a-triple-strand-necklace-with-these-easy-steps
Hi Terry, yes, I did this video a long time ago and I have no idea why I didn't show it. You can see the finished product here. www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-a-triple-strand-necklace-with-these-easy-steps
Really nice necklace. Can you please let me know what the final length of each strand is. I saw the comment where you replied with a link to the final look of the necklace but it's on a form and I can't tell how it falls on the neckline. Thank you for your videos. I'm enjoying all of them.
Hi Maria, I'm sorry but I can't. I no longer have this necklace (I made it over a year ago) and so I can't measure it. If you really wanted to you could work it out by adding the size of the beads together and then allowing for all the loops. You can always lengthen or shorten it using more or less chain.
Hi Moomin Pug. I actually didn't realise that I didn't show a photo at the end. I usually do so not sure what happened here. We missed it in editing maybe. You can't actually edit a video once it goes up live on RU-vid but we have uploaded a short with the full necklace view. You can see that here - ru-vid.comVyjYVxTmb2A. Thanks for letting me know, really appreciate that.
Yes, that's correct, Christine. By the way, I realise that I didn't show the finished product in this video (not sure why - it was a long time ago) so here's a link to the blog post with the images. www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-a-triple-strand-necklace-with-these-easy-steps
If I’m making a necklace for me, I just make it the length I want. If I’m making a gift, I give it my best guess and add an extender for insurance. It maybe is smart to use extenders, you never know.
Thanks, Bonnie. I go back and forth on this. I sometimes add extenders to my own necklaces and sometimes I don't. I try to when I'm gifting them though.
as always you make it look so easy. Hope you are well. It is Autumn here in southern ont. canada. Is there a particular wire you use. Thanks Kirsten D.
Hi Kristen, yes, I remember the fall in Toronto, it was amazing - the colours were stunning. I'm using Beadsmwith 20 Gauge half hard wire. I always forget to say that as it's just a staple in my toolkit.
Thank you for your comment. Someone else said that months ago - I honestly didn't realise that I hadn't showed it until then. I'm so sorry. You can see the completed necklace here: www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-a-triple-strand-necklace-with-these-easy-steps
You're amazing, I'm just starting my creative journey with wire and beads and I absolutely love your videos they help like you don't know, thank you ,from Chappell Hill Tx. Usa.💙🇺🇸
Hi Rosa, welcome. It's really personal preference. Personally I very seldom use eye pins because it's just as easy to make a loop in both ends of the wire. I know others swear by using them. For me, using wire is also a bit cheaper than using headpins I think.
I absolutely love your idea of using the crimping tool to take care of the bur at the end of the wire wrapped component! I always use extender chains at the end but I have an issue with how how it sits on the back of the neck if you go to the end of the extender... not centered! I've been trying to figure a way around that but haven't come up with an idea yet.
Hi, thank you for your comment. Yes, I struggle with the necklace not sitting in the centre too. I might have to think about that. Did you see my bohemian necklace tutorial where I added an extender using a toggle clasp. I'm not sure if that concept would work for you but it might be worth a try. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7Iwcj46CUGM.html
I'm really not sure. When I google hyrdrobeads it comes up with the beads you put in plant containers to keep them moist. Is that what you are using? Do they have holes? Sorry, but I need more information before I can help.
@@The_Stylish_Maker Thank you so much for the reply. Here in Bharat ,they are called hydrobeads by vendors. They are made of glass, may be because they are given multiple dimensions while cutting- they sparkle a lot and they have holes. Kind of crystal beads like..but too sparkly and smaller in size. 🙏
OK, I think I would use tiger tail or a similar stringing material and crimp it.@@contactrustling3884. Here's a video that might be helpful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xVHTcoYs9rU.html
Definitely agree with using the 6mm ring. The connector was perfect and your necklace is beautiful. Really enjoying your tutorials; you are clear, concise and you have a calming voice. Nice to listen to a Kiwi for a change.
