"Breathing the baby out" totally worked for me with my 4th. I had practiced and didn't even need to think about it when it happened. It was amazing. Getting ready for my 5th! Happy to be practicing again.

It’s not hard, everyone is making it more complicated than it is. Breathe through your nose and exhale with your mouth closed, being intentional and thinking about the breath going down your body. Keep your mouth close

Hi, I gave birth this morning, I really tried these breathes but my body was telling me another things to do. Maybe cuz I was induced. For example I pushed a lot and that was what my body said. I even couldn't stop myself pushing my baby:) And I think that's opposite to Hypnobirthing philosophy.

If you’re breathing down the throat, how is the breath escaping your body. The demonstrators mouth was closed on exhale.😒 I didn’t get it

What really travels down the body and pushes down is ENERGY, in Chinese, we call it Qi , as in QiGong. So the air comes out of the nose, but with intention, the energy travels down and pushes out baby. I hope that helps.

I just cannot make sense of this, I keep watching trying to figure it out. Breathing out but from top to bottom down your throat? Breathing in while you breathe out? Maybe my throat is broken but I cannot breathe in while breathing out at the same time. I’d like to know how to do this since my labors tend to take quite a while. Anyway to make birth more productive and less painful is the goal!

I have misophonia too. That's my problem. Not other people's. Jeez, who goes around and demands that other people adjust their way of being to cater to one's dysfunctions. It sucks to have issues but issues are meant to be dealt with and managed. Not imposed on other people.
