THANK YOU! I couldn't figure out why I couldn't nudge notes like in 9, Clip View! 10 keeps giving me pleasant surprises. I went with Live specifically because of Push, and I've never regretted it. Amazing.
I really like how you tell how to delete steps or sounds. Most videos say how to add and create but don't say how to delete stuff and that can be frustrating.
Hello! When I press record and play and I play a pad the screen tells me 'press up arrow to edit playing clip'. I can manually add each in but I cannot live record. Any advice on this one? Thanks! I push the up arrow on the right and can see now see the step sequencer running but none of the pads are playing anything!
Hey Ableton, please listen to the communitiy. There are a lot of questions regarding the used drum kit in this video. Can you please provide the information where to get it!. Thanks
When you start playing, you set the push keys “ all blue”- without hitting the record button. But yet after you use the record button...what is the difference in using the record and playing and building without it...
Hi! I cannot change the color of my push pads by holding shift and the desired pad - has anyone had this issue? It works maybe 2% of the time and I am almost positive it is a user error of some sort :)
Hi, I bought Ableton Push 2, and I have the Ableton Live 9.7.5. Following all the steps, when I press Clip, but it does not appear that I have sequenced in the display, it just appears Loop position, loop length, start offset, but nothing about the sequence in the screen. Please help me, I'm trying to do this about a month ago and I have never been able to do it.
So if i want something other than 4/4 sequence i need to set that on the computer? OR IS THERE A WAY TO DEFINE THE LENGTH OF THE SEQUENCE/TIME SIGNATURE ON THE PUSH? and why does not a SINGLE TUTORIAL VIDEO adress this? and no, i dont mean polyrhythms but SIMPLE ODD METERS.
Just ordered a Push 2 and I’m ready to Jam. Is there a way to change the velocity in the step sequencer? I would like to give the drums more human elements to them.
Congrats! its the most fun way to make music. There are at least 3 different ways to give variation to drum patterns honestly the ableton tutorials would do much better than I can type, strongly recommend watching all of them you'll never stop learning.
1:22 "By pressing duplicate, I can copy what I've currently created in my drum loop step sequence, and continue building and adding more elements..." Copy what exactly? And to what/where? Pardon my noobness. Got myself one the other day.
I had the same question about what duplicate means and got a little confused, especially since it doesn't seem to do anything in the UI the first time in his video
hi , i have push 2 and live 9,7, but doesn`t work all the function are explain in this video, perhaps the versión of live, or the firmeware, any idea??? Thanks
Inputting the notes in the step sequencer requires a slightly longer push on my unit. It is not as instantaneous, as shown in this tutorial. Did anyone experience a similar case?
Trayo Ibry Simply by pressing and holding them. Well, when the notes to be edited are spread all over the place you might need a third hand. This is where future body enhancement technology comes into play. ;-)
I'm paralyzed and use a stick in my mouth to do everything. I was told that I could access everything except chords. So ripped off or are there workarounds?
You don't believe I'm paralyzed or that I was ripped off or that I can only access the world with a mouth stick? I know I wasn't going to be able to play chords. I didn't know that some basic functions were accessed by pushing 2 buttons at the same time. Windows has a function called sticky keys that allows me to hit shift then a letter in order to make a capital letter. I was hoping some one might have some Max for live solution not a snarky reply.
0:50 followed your video exactly and the step sequencer did NOT start ... if I push play on my Push 2 it plays my sequences but carries on past the 32 buttons of my sequence and does not reloop back to the first button like yours does .... :(
When I start out with a 32 step loop sequence my push goes back to 16 steps when i change to an other loop. How can i make sure it stays on the 32 steps?
Tying the step sequencer to only the Ableton Push and not the DAW GUI is exactly why FL Studio has completely taken over the marketplace when it comes to Hip Hop producers making Trap and Drill music
This is very difficult to follow... sorry ableton but can you please make better tutorials? How would a beginner who does not already understand all the underlying paradigms understand this? Not very helpful but actually discouraging.
