Lipton French Onion Soup contains cornstarch, not sure If Aldis brand does or not. I would definitely check the ingredients before using in any canning recipe as cornstarch is not safe to can. There are recipes for making your own French Onion soup mix you could use, but if it calls for cornstarch just omit it.
New subbie, I love your videos. I too am on a urban homestead journey. I am awaiting my pressure canner, and mason jars. Next up, I will start my garden. Thanks for sharing your beautiful journey with us. 🤗🌸
This could have been a commercial, you sound so professional and your very, very, very easy on the eyes. Your so knowledgeable and intertaining, I'm marinating in your swag and also learning.
I am definitely going to make this recipe! Especially since there is leftover broth, I am going to can some green beans too! Sooo glad your channel came up in my feed!
Girl, I have been watching all your videos. We brought 10 acres in TN. We live currently in CT 🤦♀️ you are such an inspiration to start now, and I have to check out my channel 😀 let's be friends.
Hi Esmeralda! I just saw your comment in my spam (not sure why it went there). TN is a beautiful state! I just subbed to your channel! Keep going, sista!
Hi Denise! Rachel was incredibly kind in giving me a mention! I am blown away! Thank you for saying hello and I appreciate your words of encouragement!
Does this method work with any kind of mushroom? Also I can not thank you enough. I have wanted to learn most of the things you are teaching plus I got you eBook on making homemade condiments. I will be putting that to good use very soon. Please keep up the good work!
Have you tried canning mushrooms without anything that contains sodium? Unfortunately do to health issues I don’t use any salt in my canning. Also I’m very new at canning 2023 was my first time I have ever canned. Thank you.
I dont have a pressure canner, as I'm terrified to use one (I'm in southern Ontario but dont know the pressure to use, and afraid to use the wrong one and have it explode everywhere).... could this be done water bath then oven bake?
Call or go to your local extension service they can tell you. You can also lookup your altitude where you are to determine the pressure you need to use when canning. Most recipe books from Ball or extension services have an altitude guide in them. While it's imperative to determine the correct pressure to use, don't let it scare you..do your homework to make sure doing it right but still do it. Maybe you can connect with a group close to you that used safe canning practices and learn from them so it's not as scary for you. You can do it!
You will do great, I could never figure out a video......too old! Ramble on dear, best information comes out. I have water bath canned for many years new to pressure canning, as I suspect a lot of people are!
