I’m very grateful for the nerdy stuff man I’ve been really kicking around the idea of building my headlights on my ram 2500. I have projectors and I want to build my own boards with a show mode along with paint and better projectors. So keep up what your doing and I’ll probably be buying the course later on
@@flyryde You definitely have my interest. Reason for me is to do a different design tail light for the 2019 Corvette. I do not like the way GM redesigned. I know they had to keep in relationship to entire car style but I want them to look better with more round instead of angled rectangle. Not sure if I made any sense
I'm so grateful for you to take the time to teach me how to do this.. I have been looking into learning how to do this for months and never found quality info , until now!! Thanks I have so many ideas that I would like try and because of your gift of knowledge and sharing resources I can try to see if they will work.. lETS NERD OUT 👍👍👍
Jason Novack thanks for that dude. Next video I’m excited about. It’ll be a real thought provoking theme, all about sharing of knowledge versus “protecting” your secrets. Spoiler alert, I think secrets hold you back 🤔
Keep with the tech videos man. You definitely inspired me to get back at it I used to make led emergency lighting for fire departments and stuff and retrofit older lighting to make them new and bad ass. I'm getting back to that because of you. Keep it coming for sure.
I LOVE THIS STUFF!🤓 and in terms of having ads in the videos...nobody is going to think negatively on that! Keep up the good work! We love what you’re doin just keep giving us content:)
i want to build my own custom led taillights for my 2000 honda civic sedan cause i cant find anybody that sells them!! definitely gonna be watching alot of your videos thanks for taking all the work and recording all this for the car community.
Not gonna lie. When I saw the price of these on subispeed and I my first impression was, “HOLY CRAP! These are more expensive then the actual subispeed tail lights”!! But by seeing the process and labor to how these are actually made, it has seriously change my mentality of the price..... but still very $$$$$ lol or maybe I’m just poor idk xD. But GREAT video! Seems very complex but I’m sure once you learn it, easy peasy. Subscribed after watching two of your videos! Love it man! Keep it going. 👍👍
I never knew about any of this. I've seen videos of cars using these types of LEDs but always thought it was one off customs. You seem to have streamlined the processes. Looking forward to learning more.
Badass video like always Chris!! Yes you should show potting that’s part of build as well, everything counts. Thank you again for me being apart of the og lightsmen. A lot of good info on there and I know more is just to come. Keep up the great work, keep your head up high and feet moving forward
Glad you like it. Yeah its gonna be amazing to see people sharing tips and tricks, animation files, etc. I'm hell bent on getting people to benefit from sharing with each other. Its exponentially more powerful than going at it alone and keeping your "secrets" to yourself ;)
Awesome video! I like the nerdy stuff, would like to see more here on youtube if possible. Also would like to hear more info on your online course and the lightsmen website as that project gets further along. Best of luck with everything
Brendon Snover I’ll do a big fat update on the course info ASAP. I honestly wanted it open during last summer, so I’m pretty anxious to get it where it needs to be👍
Man thank goodness for you.. You're living my dream. I've always been an LED fanatic and worked for an LED manufacturer many moons ago. My idea has to do with a 3 channel Bluetooth setup.. Is that possible?
Love it man! Would love to see how to get a tail light that isn't already in the Ghozt sequencer (for example the BRZ) loaded, as well as how to create custom animations for it. Tried to take what was there for the GTR and remove some LED's, but I must not have been doing something right. I have a few ideas for simple animations I haven't seen on any other cars yet that could also be applied to the GTR.
SECIIIBRZ let’s work on it together bro! I’ll post up some files next video, and ask for help modifying them from #FlyFamily then we’ll get them on your Ghozt boards so we can see that project through together 👊
Great video! Very good explanations of the programming and wiring process. Collaboration on work like this is good stuff. If you'd go more in depth to the code that would be great. God bless brother.
Yeah man love the nerdy stuff!! Will need to go grab the program for a look n see how it works, does it allow you to preview the whole sequence as an animation on the computer? So you wouldn't necessarily need a preset circuit board like those c boards to start with you can just tell the program this is what it's going to look like in the end and program the sequence in? 😂😂 So many questions in the comments
Henriks Boot yeah man, I’ll continue to show more as I learn, so you guys are on the same page as I am. The sequence designer has a preview setting where it actually makes a video file of the animation 👍
@@flyryde had a mess around with this picking up the program doesn't seem to hard but I suppose putting it into practice will be different, I don't yet know enough about the boards and leds, does seem very time consuming programming it in though
Hi I am not from that kind ho give a like or follow any one or subscribe him easily But You push me to do all of this because you are a awesome I wish if I have this stuff at the same quality in my country But I am do my best by what I have Thank you so much I am really enjoying when I am watching your videos
Dude this is 👏🏼 awesome, been looking to get started with some of the custom tails and the ghozt modules, you are correct no one really knows these exist and I want to start doing some of this custom tails for my ram and build more since I just started growing my hobby to now small business
Hey my man love the tutorials you make and how much you explain. Really wanna build one for my car and would like to learn how you make these led boards.
I’d like to see chip leds on the turning signals on mirrors for a Nissan alt 09-12 series, original equipment manufactured burns out a lot, im not even joking I’ve replaced them so many times, I’d like to see some real bright colors
I’m sure there’s a lot of people buying up home exercise equipment this month that’ll collect dust and laundry soon enough. Don’t beat yourself up, it’s just a human thing 👍
Jayson Saenz I’ll ask my members after the next update how they feel about the status. I think one more big fat update and it’ll be at least ready to open up. I’ll be building more to it for the next year or more. The main course will keep getting bigger with each new mini course that launches.
I have a 2012 dodge challenger and I installed a sequential tail light system and I used the super bright Sylvania off road leds. It works well and is super bright. It sequential outward for turn signal and brake. I would like the brake sequential to also once you take your foot off the brake to sequential inward before going off.....your thoughts??
Chris, do you have a video showing which LEDs you prefer to use when making custom taillights? I want to make retro tails for the pro touring cars I build at my shop. Thanks, love the videos!
Subscribed :) Definitely keep up with the nerdy stuff, it's all stuff I want to learn. I wouldn't mind finding out how much roughly the module and stuff would be if it were sent to me in australia. I wanna do stuff like this to my taillights on my st162 Celica.
Hey Chris.. love your channel.. Hey have you ever considered making something for a Harley? this is how I ran into your channel.. was looking to make a DIY sequential panel that I can place on the rear of the Saddlebags... couple of companies make regular sequential brake/turn but like the show aspects and programability of it..
Hey, I would love to see a sequential 3rd brake light that lights up more when the brake is pressed harder. So slitghtly braking lights up the middle 8 LEDs and braking full will light up all 24 LEDs.
It turned out very nice, but I am very curious how you connected the LEDs without a resistor knowing that the output is 12 volts. Also, the maximum output at 1 output is 380 miles ampere, and you've connected quite a few LEDs. I wonder how. What model are LEDs
New sub here...just found you! Your content is very inspiring and you are extremely talented. I’m building my son a 1982 280zx, I really would love to figure all this lighting out. Big words like sequencing, animation and ribbon wire terrifies me lol! That said, I’m determined to do this. Aside from watching all your videos, do you have a pdf step by step format for us gear heads who own ever socket known to man but can’t crimp a wire connector to save our lives? Any help would be great. I’d also be interested in just buying a pre built set of that’s a possibility. Again, thank you. Your doing a great job.
Dig the video bud but if you don't have a mod car (WRX, GTR) where do you get LEDs to program for? Also, what is the limitation of the gohzt sequencer, can it only handle a certain number of LEDs?
Flyryde have you tried illumaesthetic.com they have a DIY section wer you can buy the tail light boards and comes with almost everything you need also you can request if they don't have you're model hopefully this helps and makes it easier for anybody trying to find the materials for their own projects ... good luck people
Coming onto this video late but I just discovered it.. Does anyone know where to get those "C" panels for the WRX tail lights that are used in this video? I cant seem to find them anywhere
