Yoksa, or otherwise translates as “ if (sa) and not (yok)” from the combination of 2 suffixes yok + sa and helps you to remember when to use it. 😃

Question: So, just to let this clear, the accusative suffix 1:40 is it always written/said whenever one is talking about something or someone in particular? Never when talking in a general way?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia Год назад
It must be a particular object and there must be a verb in the sentence that shows you are doing something related to that object. Telefonumu kırdım. (Telefon is the direct object and it is a particular object, I did something with it)

8:55 why did you use 'a' with kalk and made it kalka and why did you added 'z' and made kalkamaz?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 2 месяца назад
kalk = get up a = can't ma = negative suffix z = simple present tense suffix (for negative sentences)

in “or” phrases: in the first the initial word is kardeşim ( instead of market) in the second is İstambul: why?

Merhaba. I know, my English is not good enough. Are you coming to the cinema with us or not (with us). Yani bana öyle geliyor. Bizimle mi ya da/yoksa bizimsiz mi (yani tek başına mı) sinemaya geleceksin? Böyle olamaz mı?

Merhabalar. Are you coming to the cinema with us or not coming at all? Bizimle sinemaya geliyor musun yoksa gelmiyor musun? Are you going to the cinema with us or not with us (going alone)? Sinemaya bizimle mi gidiyorsun yoksa bizsiz mi/yalnız mı?

As a beginner myself, it's definitely not easy for me too, but keep listening until you grasp the concept, then using this example try and make your own sentences to help you understand. He's an excellent teacher and I understand he cannot meet everyone's need and progress, but don't give up. You are not alone.
