I am learning turkish on my own and i just found your grammar playlist, im level B2 but i went through all 70 videos and i love your videos and systematic explanation. EXCELLENT PRESENTATIONS. thank you for your time and hard work. Allah razi olsun
You have a good presentation voice, you are patient and calm, and pleasant to listen to. I'd like to listen to authentic Turkish as well. This kind of video and some other videos where you speak Turkish about yourself, a topic, daily life and a variety of topics with subtitles in English and Turkish, that can be a good idea, otherwise thanks for this video!
a wonderful very clear lesson. thankyou. it is amazing what a clear teacher can acheive. ive been struggeling with this subject fof months. in the words of the professor in the film my fair lady: "by jove i think shes got it" beverley
If there is a boy right in front of the supermarket we say "Çocuk marketin önünde." If there is a road or street between the supermarket and the school and these two locations are looking at each other. Then we say "Market okulun karşısında". It is like saying " The supermarket is on the opposite side of the school."
I like how you explain by breaking down the words. I have a question - wouldn’t the man be translated to Adamı? And how do you say between two different objects - for example the knife of between the pepper and the cucumber?
1- If it is the subject of the sentence we write "adam" and if it is the object than we write "adamı". 2- The knife is between the cucumber and the pepper = Bıçak salatalık ile biberin arasında.
Ben videoların iki veya üç tane izliyorum çünkü onlar çok iyi. Teşekkür ederim. Am I understanding correctly that evin can be genitive evin = top evin üstende and possessive evin =your house? Can they be combined like this, “Top evinin üstende”?
Masha'Allah. Çok güzel. Allah razı olsun. There is a question. In this case what is the difference between Bulunma Eki and this lesson. Because in Bulunma we say, kedi masada. Cat is on the table. And according to this lesson Kedi masanın üstünde. Please describe this. Jazakallah khair
Bulunma eki ( -de, -da) means ( in, on, at ) but "üstünde" means only "on". So sometimes they mean the same and sometimes not. Kedi masada = The cat is on the table Kedi masanın üstünde = The cat is on the table Kedi arabada = The cat is in the car Kedi arabanın üstünde = The cat is on the car.
Masanın arka + sı (possessive suffix) + n (buffer letter) + da (locative suffix) Masanın alt + ı (possessive suffix) + n (buffer letter) + da (locative suffix)
Merhaba hocam. In the section where the example 'the cat is on the table' Can masada and masanın both be used in this sentence? also can Üzerınde and Üstunde be interchangeable in this sentence? I am not entirely sure if I am correct but doesn't masanın translate into a possessive meaning? i.e The cat is on your table. Please excuse me if am wrong. I am new to Turkish learning.
1- "Kedi masada" and "Kedi masanın üstünde" can be used interchangeable. 2- Kedi senin masanın üstünde = The cat is on your table Kedi masanın üstünde = The cat is on the table 3- In most cases "üstünde" and "üzerinde" have the same meaning.
why do we need to use the genitive suffix for this one here ? how can we make questions like are you on the wall ? if i want to say i am behind the house is it correct to say evin arkasindayim?
"İç" is the preposition and when it is related to another thing we need to use it with possessive suffix and locative suffix. Ex: Top kutu+nun iç+i+n+de The ball is inside the box But "İçeri" is the location and the verb "Gör" works with the accusative suffix. Thats why it has to be like this: Ben içeri+y+i gördüm. I saw inside.
Merhaba, yine ben 🤔. Bir şey sorabilir miyim? Eğer bir şey iki farkli şeylerin arasında, nasıl söyleyeyim?👓🩱📱Mayo, gözlüğün ve cep telefonunun arasında. Bu şekilde doğru mu? Cevabınızın için şimdiden teşekkür ederim.
