I wanted to say thanks for making these videos. I taught myself how to throw by watching and hearing you talk about your throw. I am now committed to Rice and wouldn't have been able to get this far without these videos.
Good stuff.. I think of bending forward as breaking the middle. Making you reach for an extension that could work against you. The last few years I have tried setting up my winds with a pushed forward hip position. I feel it keeps me balanced through my core, while keeping me from shifting center mass over on to my drive leg. I try to think about Rooting into my quads as I enter my first turn.. Instead, of what feels like an artificial lowering, by sitting to much and breaking at the hips. Which tends to fake a lower low point and can lead to lower back issues. Granted, i am only a masters thrower.. These are what I am trying to mimic from the times I have watch Rudy in person.
It takes years of practice to find the balance and get comfortable with the feeling of the throw. Just keep trying things out then watch some videos, make corrections and repeat
