It's not ridiculous that someone is going back and forth to rewatch and re-listen to your podcast, Simon. This might sound ridiculous, but your content is keeping someone's sanity. I don't know how I found the courage to type this, but here I am emotionally typing and trying not to cry. I just wanted you to know that your content is one of the reasons why I am still alive. It keeps me sane for eight months now. You don't know how excited and happy I am every time you have a new upload. Whether in the main channel or here. So yeah, it's not ridiculous. P.S. I know it sounds so dramatic, but it is what it is.

I feel as though - at least a large part of - this video is all just the logic of growth put to words, both relative to your goals, and maturity. For one, recognising when to retire goals; the milestone reached, the box ticked, the metaphorical peak summited. As per my understanding, a cornerstone of a great goal is that it is finite, making it an achievable destination. So of course, to think of your life and creative journey as being 'complete' once you've reached those goals, is effectively signing off a half complete book, instead of starting the next chapter. As you have said in a way in this video, you cannot grow and mature and move forward by loitering in the confined results of a younger you's ambitions. Whilst it took so much incredible effort for you to reach where you are, and it goes unsaid but recognising/celebrating that fact is a very import, true enrichment for a driven soul such as yourself does not come from sitting in the aging glory of an old victory. All of this is to say that the dreams you have achieved are from years ago, so maybe its time to make new dreams. Could be why you feel the "best things you've created are behind you" lmao, cos that was the golden 'coming of age' time when you were learning about yourself and your craft every day. So you're spot on when you say you could sit and be comfortable, but evidently the times when you were at a level of discomfort and learning were exactly when you felt the most enriched. To continue the mountain climbing metaphor; from this peak above the clouds, you see the path to the next, taller mountain you could not see nor imagine being able to climb before, where you will seemingly start your whole journey again, starting from the bottom with a long climb ahead. But you have done it before, and can at any point look back and see how much you have already accomplished. And imagine the view once you reach the top of this next mountain, where maybe its time to give snowboarding or paragliding a go... opportunities presented as a result of your climb. If nothing else, I have given you company in ostentatiously turning the old adage of 'no growth in the comfort zone' into far too many words - as it seems this is what it boils down to in a crude way -, despite somewhat not agreeing with said statement out of my own fears and 19yr old self decreed pretentious wisdom. Signing off from the top of Mt. Dunning-Kruger, Connor
