If I'm remembering right between the light novel, web novel, and the manga Yuuki has been a slightly different kind of character so as the what they'll do with him in the anime is a bit of an unknown for now. Actually, Yuuki wants to rule the world because he believes he's the only one intelligent enough to create a perfect reality. Yuuki has an Einstein level IQ and was actually in possession of psychokenisis in our world even before being isekaied to this world. Yuuki is actually both incredibly naive and arrogant at the same time. Be truly believes he's the only one intelligent enough to create the perfect world for everyone. And he's willing to do anything for the sake of becoming basically God.

Does anyone wonder what powers Yuki must have? All the people isekai'ed all had powers. Some incredibly powerful if they live long enough. Yuki being around for such a long time could mean he has a lot of time combining powers.
