This is a really good interview and this is a lot of great information. Definitely gave me some ideas about marketing in my area and being the kind of mayor of my city in real estate. So love this.
Who would be the "Mike Sherrard" of REAL Broker? Not just as in leaning into video / social media marketing, but as in at that level of group size, proprietary training materials, and leverage, etc.?
Great question, So the way that our culture is here at real, I would say that the entire brokerage does for all agents what Mike does for just his downline. We don’t do silos or anything proprietary which is key to all agents being successful, our playbook is completely open to every agent. Our president Sharran offers personal trainings on how to create leverage in all areas of our business, Tim Macy and Katy Day do weekly social media trainings that are next level and open to everyone. Respectfully, we don’t keep the “secret sauce” to just the agents that we sponsor. Nobody wins that way. It’s just an entirely different culture here that’s why so many agents from all over the industry are joining. Book call if you have any other questions. I’m happy to share my story.
@MarvinOrieh ah ok I gotcha. That's a bummer, at least for me and my business goals. I like the compensation structure of REAL, but that part of the "company culture" is a pretty big no-go for me. That's actually what brought me to eXp to begin with, is the opportunity to create my own brand and real estate education platform, and leverage agent attraction as an incentivized option (in other words, you don't have to partner with me to get my trainings, but they become unlocked for free if you do). I guess I don't fully understand why I would go to the trouble at the expense of MY time, money and resources, to create a valuable training course, if I'm obligated to share it for free with anyone who REAL is partnered with (not me), to add value to THEIR brand. If I wanted to simply recruit for a company based purely on company merits, and spend my time and resources strengthening their position in the market place, respectfully - I'd just go work for a company. That's not why I became an entrepreneur. To my point earlier about spending my time/resources for something the company wants ALL of THEIR recruits to have access to strengthen THEIR brand... that takes the incentive away from me to make the most innovative and valuable content possible in my trainings. I believe that would only water down the quality of the training/education. It's the same concept as to why capitalism, for all its flaws, will always bring more innovation than socialism. You simply cannot remove the financial incentive to a man's work, and expect it to not diminish the outcome.
@@queenniqco7548 The brokerage is virtual, so all of us is agents stay connected to each other via zoom or local meet ups. I’ve worked in a brick and Mortar real estate office for a long time as a realtor, and I honestly feel more connected to the agents here virtually than I ever did office setting.
