The first Cavs-stint LeBron James is the most athletically gifted player in NBA history. NOBODY had such a fluid and consistent display of Power +Agility+Speed.

Yeah, he was something else those days. Very, VERY few were as physically gifted as young Lebron. Probably young Wilt, Jordan, Shaq and maybe David Robinson. Very short list and Lebron is probably at the top of it.

Nah, everyone thought he was going to surpass the Bulls dynasty when he went to Miami. Instead he was lucky to leave with 2 rings. Reality is basketball is a game with 1 ball and five players. No matter how good he was with the ball, LeBron never learned to play without it. That's why he never, and will never surpass Jordan, much less Russell.

Lebron's first stint with the cavs will probably be the most entertaining version of LBJ we could ever watch. Dunking on people left and right. Heat checking from time to time. Don't get me wrong LBJ with the heat might be his best version but most of the highlights he got were from open court plays unlike here when most of them are in traffic. We should all be grateful to have witness his greatness.
@SteveCrimialMindsFan
@SteveCrimialMindsFan Год назад
His 2nd stint in Cleveland involved a hefty amount of open court plays. In Miami Wade ruined the spacing, and especially in the 2011-2013 playoff runs, Miami's offense was extremely crowded, near terrible spacing. I remember Carlos Arroyo sitting in the mid range for crying out loud. I agree with the rest though.
@cyberbron2077
@cyberbron2077 7 дней назад
@@SteveCrimialMindsFan Miamis offense was their defense in a way. They’d force turnovers and get out in transition a lot, that’s why Lebrons efficiency was other worldly in Miami. Half court sets it was awkward whenever Lebron and d wade shared the floor though you are right about that but defensively and in transition those two were perfect together.

People who believe he's in any sort of decline yet are terribly mistaken. The man is 29, not 39. He will be athletically insane until probably 34 or 35, and after that he will still dominate until he retires. The guy is a freak of nature. Just think about how much of a threat his jumper is now? And his amazing post work?! Those miami years did nothing but good for his game. He's going to be something else in Cleveland again.

Lots of people talk about how boring Lebron's dunks are. I don't believe those people watched him play. First of all, he threw in some nice windmills and reverses on fast breaks. Second, his tomahawk dunk during his first Cleveland run was an unbelievable show of athleticism. A 6'8, 260 lb SF flying towards the rim and throwing it down with ridiculous force. It's the kind of play that might be dimmed when watching on TV, but live and in person it was absolutely ridiculous.

There isn't one. Stockton was much better than Magic at moving without the ball, while still having great creative ability with the ball in his hands. Jordan at 2 guard is obvious. LeBron at the 3 over Bird because LeBron will get Jordan better shots than Bird will and he's a lockdown defender when the time arrives. Tim Duncan a great passer when the double comes, protects the rim without fouling, and rebounds well. Hakeem the greatest offensive center ever, didn't have a ginormous ego like Shaq and could rebound well along with his amazing shot blocking. That team gels perfectly.
@davidzahry
@davidzahry 9 лет назад
spawngebub No way. Bird and MJ would not co exist well together and Magic wasn't good at moving without the ball the way Stockton was. Also Stockton was a better defender than Magic AND the fastbreak advantage would go to the first team while the low post game would cancel out. Say all you want about Wilt but his skill can't touch Hakeems.

Of course i want wade at guard to play mj and i want kg and motumbo. Then ill have probably carmelo or bird. This is Lebron's prime. He has lost little bit of quickness and hops after four years in Miami.

This was his athletic prime, but his basketball IQ has improved every year.

he lost weight in this offseason to get back his quick, explosive athleticism self. when he was in Miami he kinda bulked up and bullied people in the paint

ElTuco84 i wouldnt say iq improved because he took his team to the finals in 07 but he is meaner back then. He had many legendary moments

I watched like every game of him in Cleveland but it feels like im watching a different guy then I saw in Miami. but as great as he was in Cleveland he didn't win a chip! im sure he'll do something about that this next n.b.a season coming up. LeBron back in #23 its gonna be surreal!
@imaaduddin7715

LeBron was just an athletic freak in Cleveland in Miami he improved himself as player by developing a post game, better three point shot and a consistent jumper now he's coming back to Cleveland with no Wade or Bosh this man is gonna be a BEAST!!!!!! just imagine him and kyrie on the fast break wow...

spawngebub say's the one who thinks Lebron's size and strength couldn't over power MJ. MJ might have a few offensive moves he may or may not score on, but how the hell would he stop Lebron from backing him down and laying it in every single time?
@josephsmith5989
@josephsmith5989 10 лет назад
IDK why he stopped being good at shot blocking. John Wall looks more like the king of the chase down block than the KING himself!

This version of Lebron might’ve been the most fun to watch besides 2028 Lebron. This version of Bron was so unpredictable & raw. He was great but you knew it’s was more he could do & you knew he was gonna go crazy regardless.

The only reason why LeBron was so much more explosive on the Cavs is because he literally had to do everything for that team. If you look at these plays, most of them are just isolation plays. When LeBron was in Cleveland, the game plan was to give him the ball and to let him do this thing. It will be different this season since Kyrie can handle the ball as well.
@3pace22
@3pace22 10 лет назад
exactly lol people think he was better here then in miami it only looks that way because literally almost every play was a iso
