LeBron quietly in these playoffs so far is 2nd in DEFENSIVE Win Shares and 4th in DEFENSIVE Rating (AD #1 in both). LeBron also 8th in RBG & 11th in BPG (so far his Top2-3 most rbg & bpg in his 16th playoffs), 10th in Win shares. 22 10 5 What he’s averaging per game so far in these playoffs (22+ 10+ 5+) has only been done for an entire playoff career by 3 players ever Larry Bird Giannis Jokic Only Giannis has done it while averaging 1.3 BPG like Bron this playoffs. 3P shooting last 2 games 42% after horrid first 7 games from 3 in all but Game 6 vs Grizzlies. He’s the 2nd player ever in year 20 to even play in the playoffs (Kobe Dirk KG Vinsanity Parish and the 8 total others besides LeBron Kareem as only 10 players have EVER played year 20) and Kareem played 23 mpg averaging 11 & 4. Just want to make sure ppl have perspective of what they are watching with LeBron. Refreshing to see Simmons for a segment not hate on it LeBron (can’t blame him though bc LeBron lead teams knocked out his beloved Celtics 5x from 2011-2018 playoffs including 3 ECF, 2 of which Celtics could win game 6/7 at home but lost anyways after being up 3-2 and then he went to hated lakers and was MVP for them winning 2020 title after worst record in NBA 13-14 to 17-18). He did say one thing critical that I disagree with bc LeBron almost certainly didn’t believe his 07/15(once Kyrie love hurt)/18 teams had much of a chance to win titles but still he played his ass off with some incredible moments.
Yeah lebron James has been pretty insane actually. I wish more people were giving him credit that. Since the narrative was “lebron James doesn’t play defense anymore” well he’s in year 20 and is playing excellent defense
@@synapse913 apologies for my ignorance, but why do you say that? I know “the decision” and some of his tweets are not great. But, I’m curious what I’m missing that makes you say that?
I think it’s so crazy that the media has spent all season killing players for missing games and stuff but no one is talking about how lebron has been playing on an injured foot.
@@scandelez as a player he’s supposed to. He is out there playing so no excuses but the media has been praising lebron for playing off ball/ letting dlo and reaves hoop. But he’s only playing that way because he had been favoring his foot
LeBron was born with a high level IQ reading the game. Jordan and Kobe had to learn it. If you watch those two their first 5 seasons or so they had to learn to get their teammates involved. LeBron always had that, even at St Vincent St. Mary. I remember watching him at Pauly Pavilion against Mater Dei and I was stunned how well he read the game, got his teammates involved, and passed. I think Mater Dei was number one in the nation at the time. No I’m not saying he’s better than Kobe or Jordan. They’re just different.
Hearing BS not hate on Lebron is quite refreshing but I makes me sad because as we all probably suspect, the days of King James in the league seems numbered.
I don't think he's a Lebron hater, never was. Other than his understandable fandom towards boston teams, I think he's quite fair. BUT, did you mean it's refreshing compared to sports media as a whole?
@@roykentseyebrows4196 if that chip doesn’t translate to disrespect, then I think all’s good. I’m a celtics fan myself, never hate lebron, scared and anxious everytime celtics play against him, but never hate
@steamroombracelet listening to the BS podcast for years I couldn't help but notice some slight digs at lebron a few times but it was never disrespectful as the hot take media seem to be nowadays about anything sports related. While some of BS takes caused the occasional eye roll, it almost always enjoyable. I think BS has warmed to LeBron more now than in the past after all the battles between the Celtics and LeBron.
I think he’ll want the opportunity to play with both of his kids. Obviously no guarantee they get drafted, but bryce is a sophomore so that that’d be at least 3-4 more years
The best thing about this lebron, is that he's not even trying... cuz he doesn't have to. He knows something no one else knew until recently, that this team is good enough to win a chip. He doesn't need to dominate anymore. He's saving that for the celtics and their depth in the wing position
We all know the reason Bill Simmons won't put Lebron ahead of MJ. Lebron eviscerated his beloved Celtics so many times in the Playoffs and Jordan never did. Imagine if Lebron beat his Celtics in the finals this year. LOL
Steph told Draymond that he doesn't know what the fuck Lebron is doing he can't figure him out. It seems like when golden state is watching film that Lebron is already on the next game of doing different shit. Lebron in the post they might be planning for that tonight where Lebron is doing something else now. Also him shooting really bad from 3 I know that sounds bad but now teams are like should we leave him open & he's going like ya do it & I'll make you pay.
I keep thinking that too. And then they'll be losing a game, Poole hits a shot and acts like it's a buzzer beater rather than getting ready for a stop. Kerr only played Poole 10 minutes in Game 4.
@@MoSuli96 there are similarities and in my view it’s closer than “not even close” LeBron is starting to have injuries become a problem like wade did, not career ending but slowing him down. I also think the team needs AD to be the guy and not LeBron. LeBron is still very, very good much like wade was in 2013 and 2014 I’m just not sure if it serves the team for him to be the “best player” on the team night in night out. Time will tell. I would love to see him one more and I’d love to see even more who is the finals MVP on that team.
It’s funny to me how these so called experts and analysts just realized now that Lebron thinks about pacing himself into the playoffs and during the playoffs. He has been doing that for a decade. And he even mentioned it a few times. 😂 He is the only guy in the league that can fully control the game. He can go get 40 points per game every game if he wants. Doesn’t mean it’s gonna help the team win but I’m just saying that he can. He can control a game’s tempo by manipulating his teammates moves. He can dissect his opponent’s game plan during the game and help his coaches with the adjustment. I just don’t get why they are just seeing this now. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see why Lebron has been so good and consistent.
Anthony Davis is not the best player on the team lol. Why do people keep saying that. Ad has games whre he has 11pts and 7rebs and games similar to where he mystifyingly goes missing and he doesnt look engaged in those games. I get AD has a better combo of offense and defense but he is just not a better player than Lebron, and I dont even like the guy like that
I’ll shoot them some bail and say they were excited at the technique. Like when a film nerd geeks out at the most nuance thing the average person doesn’t care for
If lebron James played in the NFL he would be the best player of all time. He could play every position on offense and defense. If he played as a running back it would take halo of the defense to stop him. If he played quarterback he would throw the football 90 yards in the air. If he played baseball he would hit home runs that would orbit the earth. And he would make throws from deep centerfield to home plate like a frozen rope. If he was a boxer he would knock out everybody that he fought. That’s how great lebron James is.
bill simmons knows more about basketball then every analyst combined. lebron people need to relax. he bad him as a top 25 player of all time before he even won a title. read his book learn basketball. hes not hating on lebron
Just like Jordan needed the triangle system, a roster, Paxson, Kerr, and Pippen to win titles. Rodman didn't hurt either. No NBA player has won a title on a bad team in a bad situation with a bad system
For the love of god and probably every human you know, please go to therapy, get offline and touch grass. All this comment does is project how sad your life is.
He does, ya casual. He just plays the game differently. The only thing he has lacked that Jordan had was a healthy Scottie Pippen for 8 years on a bad contract
soft time ? that nigga grew up in the projects in akron with a teenager single mother in the crack era.. y'all just be saying anything LeBron experienced real POVERTY that man grew up harder then you or any of your favorite players MJ grew up in a stable home His father worked as a general electric plant supervisor, and his mother worked at a bank dude had all the support in the world.. I swear I don't get this leBron is soft narrative I really don't
LaBrown James is not half as good as Jimmy Buckets who is a true bucketeer. The only thing they have in common is that they are both immigrants from Africa.
