The disconnect with fans, media and nba players with this "debate" is that everyone views it from different perspectives. Most people that have MJ and Kobe over Lebron is grading the olayer skillset, how much they won, their passion and competitive edge and people that have Lebron over Kobe or #2 to MJ is value stats and the paper resume. If you value winning and how close to flawless the player is individually its hard to value Lebron over MJ and Kobe.
No disrespect to Kobe. I think he’s unquestionably top 10, but I have him from like 5-7. Me personally I’m taking Tim Duncan over Kobe. I think Kareem does get disrespected. I think he’s solidified as the 3rd best player of all time given. After Bron, MJ, and Kareem, you have: Magic, Bird, Duncan, Kobe, and Shaq at 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in any order Russell, Steph, Hakeem, Wilt and KD at 9, 10, 11, and 12 in any order. It’s not as black and white, but I feel that it is more tier based

Other guy said Lebron is the greatest because of 40k points. MJ is the all time leader in points per game for both the regular and playoffs. Thats more impressive than Lebron's longevity stats.

I’ve got the 👑 1 and Jordan 2 because I am old enough to have watched Jordan play and I’m glad these young guys are starting to do the work and go back and watch the games back in the day and see with their own eyes the level of guard play back then and realize that most of those guys were offensively challenged most could only go one way to their right or dominant hand. When the guys who are my age who are the gate keepers in the media right now are gone it just might not be a debate especially if Lebron wins another title.
