We put to much emphasis on stats when talking about the GOAT. It hard to compare using these metrics because each player played in different eras and under different circumstances. The GOAT isn’t about stats but more about skills. It’s about put each player in the same situation all things equal who would have excelled. If we use stats then Wilt or Kareem have to be in the GOAT conversation but they are not so stats can’t quantify who’s the GOAT. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Jordan, Bryant, and James and it indisputable that Jordan is the GOAT followed by Bryant a close second. James have been a great player but have too many weaknesses to be the GOAT. He requires more to succeed. James needs certain type of players to succeed. Jordan and Kobe only need an additional all star caliber player and they will win championships. In addition, LeBron have played with more great players in a softer league and have less rings that tells you all you need to know.
