Has to be a Cavalier. As of today he spent the most seasons in his career in that uniform, and the 2016 ring is the greatest achievement of his career by far.

Is that a bad thing if Pau is celebrated more as Laker over Lebron. All he cares about is if Laker fans/Kobe fans accept him. He's not asking to be recognized as the greatest Laker. Just be accepted.

He is a Laker, just NOT a Laker great. He was a member of the Heat, but NOT a Heat great since he joined them with their own homegrown superstar that already had a title and he was there only 4 yrs. So, that leaves the Cavs and I would say that he was a Cavaliers great since he spent most of his years there and gained most of his career accolades while wearing that uniform. He led them to their only title, so it is pretty obvious that he is a Cavalier great. It's not only about the years, but what his accomplishments were during that time and Lebron did most of his numbers in a Cavs uniform. The man's career is really a mess when you step back and look at it. He was a superstar talent that purposely formed a super team in Miami and then cost them a ring in the 2011 finals. Came back to win 2 straight and then lose another final before packing his bags and going back to a Cavs team that was slowly improving with Kyrie and he brought Love like he did Bosh when he joined Miami, and repeated the same trick which led to a 1-3 record in the finals. That's why it is so important to a player's legacy to win with one team or no more than two. He chased rings and his legacy became a mess. The media does what it can for him by giving him all the credit for the Heat and Cavs runs by burying two HOFers (Wade and Bosh) and downplaying Kyrie and Love. The narrative is to make Lebron out as this ultimate player when the facts don't support it. I mean, the man had two 60+ win Cavs teams that came up short in the playoffs, but people labeled them bums, instead of asking why Lebron can't lift his teams to success? When he collapsed in the 2011 Finals that destroyed the whole "bum" label for his past teammates on those Cavs teams, but people still made excuses for Lebron. Personally, the Heat shouldn't retire his number, but they likely will. The Cavs should give him everything for obvious reasons and the Lakers will retire his jersey and maybe a statue if he stays for 9-10 yrs, even if he only brings them a Bubble ring.

Its an interesting topic to consider. I do agree with Chris that he’d be considered a Cav above the other options, but mainly because he’s from there, it’s where he was drafted and he also managed to win a ring there - his career’s been not quite nomadish, but he’s either not been anywhere long enough to have fostered that “he’s one of us” love, or the manner of his departure burnt bridges on his way out. Kinda sad from a sporting sense when you think about it, that an all time great probably won’t have a place to call home when it’s all said and done…
@WarrenFranceSportsNetwork
@WarrenFranceSportsNetwork 6 месяцев назад
He spent 10 plus years in Cleveland to call him a nomad is insane. Outside of Jordan and Kobe every single one of your favorite players played on multiple teams throughout their career. The only difference is lebron left Cavs and went back. This lakers run is literally the only time you could consider “nomadish” and he won a chip here still and this fanbase still hates him. Truly shocking
@toby_yayo
@toby_yayo 6 месяцев назад
It took a lot longer than 10+ years for him to be in Cleveland for 10+ years because he left for Miami in between his 2 stints there. I only said not quite nomadish (not nomadish) because he’s definitely not a journeyman, but he has moved around. 3 teams really isn’t much across a career spanning 20+ years, but it’s definitely impacted how the various fanbases view him, and the extent to which they’re prepared to ride for him. Jordan also played on multiple teams, but I get your point. D Wade left Miami and went back - seems to me their love for him only intensified. To be clear, I’m not a Lebron hater/stan - I’m just a fan. I don’t have any particular agendas, biases or hills to die on. In my opinion, he’s delivered everywhere he’s been, individually and in terms of team success. Each of his moves made sense for where he was in his life at the time and what he was looking to achieve, on and off the court. The Laker apathy/hate isn’t warranted in my opinion, but there’s various factors that have gone into that and I don’t see that being a battle he’s ever gonna overcome at this point

Even tho Lebron will be the only Sports Player ever to have Statues and his numbers retired in 3 Cities , Lebron will be known as a Cav the most. He played 8 Seasons as a Cav went to Miami for 4 Seasons , then came back and Played 4 more Seasons as a Cav . He went to the Finals 5 Times as a Cav. So he will be Known as a Cav foremost , even tho most of his Unicorn NBA Records are as a Laker .

The biggest shot in nba history is Jordan game 6 at Utah. Lebron is emblematic of the Cavs, not only because he is from Akron but he played most of his career and his prime over there. Kyrie is not an emblematic player of any team.

How could a game 6 for a 3 peat in which they were high favorites be bigger than game 7 after being down 3-1 after no fg for 2+ min straight? You do realize NO TEAM IN NBA HISTORY EVER EVER EVER CAME BACK DOWN 3-1(0-32). You believe hitting winning shot up 3-2 is bigger than dagger 3 that gave lead in tied game in gs against a 73 win team that was up 3-1 with first EVER unanimous mvp in his face? Are you crazy

Last game and we gettin blown out. Lebron fake ankle hobbles off the court, but he forgets that there are cameras in the tunnel. As soon as he hits the tunnel he forgets to keep limping, walks normal. This dude thinks he's Kaiser Soze. Obviously the ankle is fine. What a chump.

Even if he gets another ring in LA, which I don't think he will, Lebron will never be considered a TRUE Laker..... he's a Cavalier. I know he's spent more time in LA than Miami but seriously. LA is at the bottom of Lebron's list. Miami is a close second to Cleveland and then LA is a DISTANT third.

Lebron would have to win a minimum of two more championships to be considered a great Laker. For now and probably indefinitely he’s a cav.
