I really enjoy my XPedition and use it all the time. With my set up, I comfortably carry 6 bags of groceries using the 2 XL Cargo Pannier bags, and 18 liters of water (5 gallons) in a milk crate on the back. I also found not having suspension makes this ebike very stable with my other extremely heavy loads. A good seat and seat post really helped with my comfort. I did add signal and brake lights.
You make a wonderful point. Suspension seat posts are a very good idea for cargo bike riders. We wish Lectric would have agreed to let us review some accessories. The Xpedition is a good bike. My grand parents bought me one as a gift as they have 2 on their RV and love it. I had a few issues the first week of owning the Xpedition and tried to contact Lectric. They said the warranty does not transfer and my warranty was void since I did not purchase the bike. Kind of crazy if you ask me. I had to spend close to $300 for a new rear wheel within the first 15 miles on the odometer. I also replaced the kickstand at about 200 miles as it would loosen up after every ride.
Mine arrived today with the free bonuses of the seat pads and footboards and I love love love it! Just waiting for my other accessories to arrive! So stoked! Great review!

I have had my XPedition since Oct. 2023 and have ridden it to date 1630 miles in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California. I can tell you without fear of contradiction that the range estimates provided by Lectric are wildly optimistic when riding in mountainous terrain such as that around where I live. I also would like to note that unless Lectric has recently changed the brake rotors supplied on the XPedition they are 1.8 mm thick rather than 2.2 mm as stated in the review. I have personally gone through 3 sets of pads and my fourth set is at end of life. In addition my rotors now measure 1.5 mm which puts them at end of life as well. I'm therefore getting around 400-450 miles out of a set of resin pads (front and back) and around 1600 miles on a set of rotors. This is not to complain but rather to make the point that when you use this bike "like a truck" in the real world as I do you can expect to have to do some significant maintenance. I also have completely worn out my OEM tires and have had to replace both at 1500 miles. Overall, as someone who uses my bike as my car i am quite satisfied but want to make clear that i find Lectric and most reviewers far too optimistic with the specs and promoting unrealistic expectations among potential customers. Tell it like it is rather than quoting Lectric's somewhat unrealistic claims.
In this, and most eBike reviews, we advise riders to take 50% off the advertised figure when considering the practical range. It should be noted that this bike has far more battery capacity than most competitors. Generally speaking, we are very comfortable repeating dimensions offered by leading high volume eBike brands like Lectric. It would not be a sensible user of time to laser measure each frame and component. We will verify rotor thickness independently due to your claim that Lectric has engaged in fraudulent advertising. Why can't these companies just give you the straight up real answer to the capacity and distance. The first company that actually delivers on their distance per battery charge will become king
Physics is the reason. A heavy person in a large jacket flapping on a cold windy day over hilly topography with rough rough terrain who rapidly accelerates will achieve a fraction of the range of a slender person in form fitting clothing on a warm day who is using light pedal assist over smooth terrain. -Producer Tim

Thank you for sharing your personal dream feature for this cargo eBike. Gates belts do not allow any variation in pedal torque via traditional gear sets. A transmission would be essential to manually propel for a loaded cargo bike with an exhausted battery. The alternative would be a mid drive and hub transmission. That cannot be achieved near this bike's price range. When we recommend next generation improvements, they are always in line with what competitors have already demonstrated as viable in the segment and price point. We have reviewed many eBikes with belts, generally in a positive light. No competitors in this category and price range currently offer a belt drive. -Producer Tim
The bike is heavy and I mean heavy there's no shocks good luck trying to ride it on the sidewalk. You need a very smooth surface to get a good ride out of this bike that means the road.
Someone should create a battery that lasts at least 200 mi. Give me 100 lb battery that will at least last all day and I'll give you my cash, otherwise it just seems like a rich foo foo fad
