And I get that, BUT Volodos, as we all know, is famous for his transcriptions and there are many of them that he never officially released. So if no one records them only the people who were fortunate enough to attend one of his recitals were able to hear them. There is no official release of the Malagueña, De Falla’s Danse Espagnole, Bizet’s Aragonaise, Glinka’s Ruslan & Lluyilla, Moskowski’s etincelles & etude De virtuosité,....

I'm curious when this was recorded. This looks like an in between version, maybe before the Bologna. Concert where he played a more elaborate version. But I like this one more than his final version. If only there was a good version of his De Falla transcription.... I love how he plays it differently each time, just wondering if he makes those changes on the spot...

very true. after his schubert sonata disc which i believe is next up, d959 and 960, he may record schumann?, he did program schumann brahms and schubert for quite sometime, few years really with little change.
