My dad is a republican but in an Irish way, but unfortunately if I want to show this to him I can't watch this with my cat so I will rematch this with her later
Nice. My dad is a normie lib Bri'ish man, who's dad is a conservative who probably wins reactionary bingo. Anyway I'm rambling now about the debate (I don't wanna call it that but tf else can I call it?) we (me and my paternal grandfather) had. He told me that the rail workers on strike are "trying to stop progress in working practice". He explained that there are four people on a train at a time. The driver, the operator, the food trolley person and the rubbish person. He said that the driver is busy the whole time, but the others aren't really doing anything. The operator does basically nothing, except checks for tickets like once a journey; the trolley also goes once a journey, same with rubbish. He said that the railway people are trying to change the workings and the unions don't want that (it was weird almost like he thought unions are more anti change than pro worker). He said it was unfair for him to pay for people doing basically nothing all day (but he's not paying for ppl to work hard, he's paying for a service tho). I was just very confused the whole time because I didn't know what his point was and he kept framing it in a super weird way. Idk much about the strike so I kinda couldn't make any arguments and I wish I did so I could debate Lord him into the ground /j.
For those who don't know/want to know more, 11:42 is one of the opening scenes to Fritz the Cat, the first animated picture to receive an X rating. Animated by Ralph Bachki, the film satirizes the counterculture movement of the 60's. So yeah, this is still relevant as it was 50 years ago.
2:00 they're art is so pretty!!! Also ramble time for the algorithm >:) I made two bracelets for two of my favorite characters and I was gonna make a third bracelet but I don't have enough brown beads :( I played Minecraft last night and built a mushroom tower!! I'm gonna color in my sketchbook and vacuum my room today :) I might draw and play botw too👀
im gonna ramble tooooo for algorithm! what youre doing sounds to fun, and good job on the mushroom house, i bet it looks great! today im gonna go to guitar center to finally get an electric guitar i think, and on new years am going over to my partner’s house for a sleepover, im so excited!
I am once again, asking for pointless information about your pets. My cat Molly has pretty much hibernated under the christmas tree, completely mesmerized by the lights, needing to smell all the ornaments, and confused about where all the boxes went after we opened presents. We also have a christmas ram made of hay that she refuses to leave standing on its four legs: ALWAYS tilted forward on its head or just toppled over sideways.
i adopted my cat, nala, last year in the summer! she was a tiny little kitten and her mother had abandoned her (likely on accident) in our backyard while she moved on with the rest of the litter. she spent two nights crying until we decided to feed her and she has been the light of my life ever since (dispite her being a little bitch most of the time). she is growing up very quickly, she’s still pretty small in the grand sceme of cats i know but she’s certainly been growing and now i understand what parents mean when they joke-complain about their children growing up so quickly.
I currently have six pets so here we go: First there is my rescue pony, BabyCakes, who has been recently nicknamed my fire breathing dragon. She is very zoomy nowadays because she can't run outside with all the snow. I taught her a lot myself, including jumping which she loves(except when she decides not to, it's very unpredictable). Then there are the five rabbits: First is Pepper, the spicy mother bun. She is the black rabbit in my profile picture. She will 100% bite the hand that feeds her however stupid of a decision it is. She is more friendly when she has babies though, which makes no sense but it is what it is I guess. Fred and George are the twins of her first litter. Fred is technically Fredericka, but goes by her nickname. She is the level of chill I aspire to be. Vacuum in the house? Minor construction? It's still naptime. George is a sweet little rabbit that I started training as a therapy rabbit, then stopped because I am super busy and it wasn't a priority. Dawn is Pepper's younger daughter. She came from the largest surviving litter I have had in my 4ish years of rabbit breeding. She is also the smallest, giving her nicknames like Tiny. She is very shy, but also sweet. Then we have Gin, George's son. He is the biggest for complicated rabbit genetics reasons, but a total sweetheart. He had a nasty eye infection in August and vets told us the eye would eventually have to be removed, but then it miraculously healed a couple months ago. And I do mean miraculously. I've had numerous other rabbits, but that would take me ages to list.
8:30 I offer hugs and let people know if they need a shoulder to cry on When my mom died so many religious people said : it happened for a reason, or its part of God's plan. And that malarkey pissed me off. Like you can't say that God took away someone's pain (by them dying) without implying he gave them that pain first.
lmao after watching every leftist tiktok comp my new special interest is leftism (specifically communism, socialism, and anarchism) edit: my poor friends 😭😭
its a special interest of mine too but every time i bring it up my friends are always like “uhh but capitalism isnt THAT bad” and i try to explain it to them on how it cant work without exploiting ppl and they just change the subject its so frustrating
i hate andrew tate. when i go to the skatepark these kids make fun of me for hating andrew tate. they think he spits facts. idk how they think andrew tate is good. they're all idiots
@@andyT27 that sucks, I swear Andrew Tate’s fans are completely mindless bc how could anyone support him- hopefully now his fans will shut up and realize how much of an idiot he is
5:03 I'm so glad this video is here because when I saw that the only black main character in Wednesday was the villain, it didn't sit right with me at all. I wasn't sure if I was just reading too far into it because I'm white and don't know everything, but I'm glad I was correct in that feeling.
Creative Writing Prompt #54: We did worldbuilding this week. We built a map, filled it with people, found out what they need, gave them a framework for culture, and had them build institutions. From this point forward, we're going to look at each of these elements as a thread we're weaving together. Now we get to cast them back and forward in time. Build a timeline for all the relevant events of your map. When do settlers arrive, when are periods of sustained conflict, factions coming together and breaking apart, nations expanding territory into empires, empires fracturing into feuding states, states coalescing power to become nation states. Wars, plague, famine, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Use every tool at your disposal. Ask how these events change the people affected by them, and how those people go on to change the world, their cultures, and their institutions. Just as the government's laws will change the populace's attitude on religion, so too will its wartime propaganda change their attitude toward their neighbors. A catastrophic fire may change how a city builds its homes and plans its infrastructure. A tsunami will change how they see the ocean. Invasion or oppression will change how they see themselves. You don't have to do anything comprehensive, just have a general awareness that history is always happening, that it never happens in a vacuum, and that the people who live through it are different. Their world has changed trajectory, and they will go on to change it farther. Weekend Homework: It's about time for a new year. Consume a new piece of media about renewal and beginnings.
Eg: The Ruvalli are a nomadic people who trade stories and serve an underworld god named Laan, the keeper of the burning plains and the host of the honored dead. They have lived through a few centuries of oppression. As an empire formed and fractured and split apart, the Ruvalli have found themselves scapegoated by a series of authoritarians trying to gather power in the face of extreme political instability. This has affected them powerfully, and while they have not abandoned their (in their opinion) divine duty to gather stories to tell in the underworld, they have changed considerably. They are warier of strangers, often act in secret or travel in disguise. They began early on to tell stories of Laan in his younger days when he used to hide in plain sight among mortals, before he gave the Ruvalli their task. Eventually, this incarnation of Laan split off into a separate deity. Hinnid, god of liminal spaces, passageways, the shepherd of souls and lights. The Ruvalli see him as their equal, not to individuals, but to the culture as a whole. His job is to track down ghosts and bring them to the burning plains. They pray to him for guidance and to pass safely to their destination. This is a problem with other groups of Ruvalli who were not subjected to this oppression, because to them the stories about Hinnid were always attributed to Laan. There is not a consensus between groups on whether this is acceptable.
Long ago the great dracarae would fly through these mountains but when the humans landed they grabbed them and put them in cages to train them to be weapons but they resisted and many of their trainers died when they fought back with their claws teeth and breath so they gave up eventually after decades of many deaths and only 2 successes and instead they took dna from them and made a hybrid of the dracarae and the humans and called them dracotaurs and treated them similarly but they were different and were better so they were able to break free and return to their mountain home where they have lived quiet peaceful lives ever since they’ve lived there for about 200 years and most of the elders were around when they were captured
If it's not too much trouble, could you consider putting a trigger warning for child abuse/mistreatment on videos like the one that starts at 12:44? I'm autistic, and seeing an autistic child being treated that way was really distressing and brought back a lot of bad memories for me. I'm not mad at you at all, as I know that's something people often overlook. An on-screen trigger warning with timestamps would be fine on its own, but I usually listen to these videos so an auditory cue in addition to the on screen warning would be better (if you end up going with that at all). Anyway, great video compilation as always, and I hope you're doing well.
Hey you yes you, take a deep breath let it out slowly, and lower your shoulders. Know that you are important to someone even if you feel like no one loves you, guess what I do. I'm so proud of you being here. Thank you. Now make sure you take care of yourself and drink some water, eat something and take a stretch break.💜💜🤗🤗💜💜🤗🤗
I love these videos but man that meltdown one near the end hits hard. Like it's great spreading awareness but jesus the video itself was hard to watch, as someone who has meltdowns I could barely watch it anyways, that poor kid, jesus.
Jokes on you, my dad's a democrat, he just has no idea how the American legal system works! Anyway, in regards to 4:01, *dear God.* I had no idea the situation in Texas had gotten so bad! I'm barely scraping by as it is, so shout-out to my fellow comrades down South!
@@Quinn-_- @Quinn same here, bestie. It's stressful enough trying to find a decent college, but NOW I have to find one out of state, as well as one that's queer-friendly. Standing by your side all the way!
6:43 I don't know how well this will be answered with Google, so I'll ask here: How do you work with black hair in the elements? I have black characters in a book I'm writing and I didn't realize that rain could negatively affect black hair. Could someone please inform me what happens to black hair when exposed to rain, as well as any other particular conditions (too much sun, extreme heat or cold)? Plus if there are ways to protect hair that make sense in a very outdoors setting with limited materials, i am eager to know. Also if there are certain things that affect other types of hair (all I really know is that my blonde-brown hair turns basically gold in the summer). Thank you in advance! I want to write my characters as accurately as possible!
I suggest you have sort of bonnet (especially when they sleep) look into protective hairstyles as well, I am not black but those are some things that may help you learn more
@@bloodmooneddotavi that sounds lovely! I've been chipping away at all of the covers and thumbnails for a webcomic I'm making, it's been really fun but also really tiring
okay i understand the meltdown video but that kid is melting down in the street it looks like their priority needed to be getting him to a safer place to regulate
then why was the parents' priority somehow also filming their kid in a vulnerable state and putting it on the internet? like the lifting really wasn't the only issue there
I agree on that, I would have pointed that out but I also keep doing stuff like that and currently keep getting notifications off random comments I made months ago because people are still fighting over it.
Yeah, I have autism and ADHD but I’m higher masking or have different needs than my sister so people focus on her more, sometimes it’s hard to tell between a tantrum and a meltdown with her but either way sometimes we can’t let her just regulate herself and let it pass because she is actively doing something dangerous, to not only herself or others (I also have physical disabilities and often can’t help out with her) like she has had meltdowns in streets, next to a flight of concrete stairs etc where she will get hurt not to mention she often comes to bite or hit us during it, so sometimes we can’t ignore it, or sometimes she specifically wants our attention but is mad or not able to say what she really needs. Then there is the issue of caregiver burnout but there’s no one else that can help at the time so now you both have to control your own emotional response (even if you yourself are not an adult or on the verge of a meltdown) and dealing with the child’s behavior so it’s not too black and white. On the subject of filming, there’s one person with the child and one person with the camera so I don’t think the act of filming is keeping the child from being able to go to a safer area, however I don’t like when anyone films children even with some consent because they don’t know how they will feel about it when their older, but on the other hand people need to be able to see what different types of meltdowns look like.
rambling to fight the, feel free to ramble in the replies :) i stayed up upsettingly late watching fellowship of the rings, and i need know when frodo and Sam kiss!!! i know they won't get together, but they're so clearly falling in love, i want to believe they're in a queerplatonic relationship :)
Hello hello! I'd love to ramble along with you! I totally agree that they have a queerplatonic relationship going on, and I wish we could've got a kiss scene or something. I'd also like to say that Legolas and Gimli also have something pretty gay going on too
i haven't actually seen or read any lotr, pretty embarrassing cuz i used to call myself a bookworm and fantasy lover💀 i just couldn't get into it. like i started reading it one time but it was so damn boring, i understand how revolutionary it is in terms of worldbuilding but god is it terrible to read
16:04 ?????? how are you supposed to respond? just "You are not privileged enough to receive this information from me, inhuman fool"?????? im so confused
1:00 I do not care about anti black supposed racism... it seems like the anti black racism these days is mean words while racism from black people is literally rape and murder
