Arcus I lost my mom the day I was watching you do a Mario 3 speed run and to this day I watch you in her memory Watching you do these speed runs gives me peace in my heart . I want to say thank you for helping me though my loss of my mom because watching you just relaxes me and I pray she watches over you to help you give the best content possible. Yeah I know this sounds crazy but it is true. I am grateful for being able to watch you and have peace in my heart because you r content you give is wonderful. I pray she watches over you and asks God to bless you and helps you grow and get better as a content creator like you should be.
Sorry for the loss but it looks like he doesn’t read or pin any comments on here. He probably just copied and posts this from twitch to try and get more money off RU-vid videos along with twitch. Hope he sees it though
Beat this game as a teen, back when it was released, after a lot of trial and error. My friend didn't have the instruction manual but I was able to find a hint book that gave me an idea of what needed to be done. I can't remember how many times I replayed the father's level because I kept dying against that rock boss. I beat the game again, recently, on the PS4. I still think it's a solid game. Nice to see Arcus go through this one.
The bane of my childhood existence! I rented this game so many times as a kid and never got anywhere. Lol I managed to find one crown with Lil and that was it. Overall not a bad game though all things considered.
This game used to absolutely baffle me as a kid. I'd hop into the dungeon with whoever, get lost, and run out of whatever resource came first trying to get back out. The non-linearity of it also drilled in this feeling of "I'm not supposed to be here yet" since pretty much every other game led you to the end. As an adult though, this looks like a pretty fun challenge.
This is one of my favorite videos games, took forever to figure it out and a little bit of help from a friend, finally beat the game after many years. This is the game I usually play when no other games sound fun at moment in time. Of course I had to put the dungeon theme as my ring tone.
Randomly got this game as a kid. I think my brother traded a friend some other game for it and picked it just for the cover art looking cool. I remember this game being crazy difficult (no maps, strategy guides etc which are all be required) but insanely good. I loved the vibe of this game and the music is absolutely killer. Still one of my all time favorites
So does anyone else born in the early 80s who had an NES just remember having random games and no idea where they came from?....I had this game I never asked for it....it just seemed to show up one day and i played it.....not sure I liked it, but I played it
I loved this game when i was a kid. Back in the early days of Nintendo, the idea was to make the game beatable, but make it hard enough that the average person would just play till they got frustrated and quit and keep coming back to it later. I remember when I was playing it, I beat the dragon boss, and decided that was the end of the game. Never saw any other bosses.
It's so funny dude, I can just listen to you without even watching you play and it's like soothing for some reason. Does anybody else have that feeling? anyways great content keep it up
I’d like to play this now that I actually know what to do. As a kid this was what I got with my Nintendo at Christmas and had NO idea what to do. The manual had no instructions on what anything did or the goal really.
I can say I beat this as a kid, it was one of those games I borrowed from a friend, so I had no nintendo power or instruction manual help, I had to sit down and brute force it. Some of those boss battles were hell because I didnt realize that the order you beat the levels due to the characters you use make for better or worse matchups against specific bosses.
You are correct. This is quite frustrating when you are blind. And this includes not using that pause jump trick. Never knew that was a thing until this video. The game needs some direction of who you need for what area sooner. Basically you go in a section, then get stuck halfway because you need a slightly different power up. The big thing is that there should be different blocks that are intractable with only one of the 3 that interact with them instead of having the same blocks that can be moved/broken. O, and here should be something saying the son is only used at the end.
i used to play this game. i had no fucking idea what all these items did so never got anywhere because the game store i rented it from never had the booklets.
I don't know if you are going against world records for this. You might compete in world records for some. I know you like to have fun and get through games at a good consistent pace beating a lot of games on average like this. Mike Matei is like that. He can pick up on a bunch of games and get through them really good playing many genres of games. He was on the AVGN channel of James Rolfe but he has his own channel now and may have before I don't really keep up on it. I tried to find the fastest longplay without any inbuilt game glitch pause jumps (of course non-tas) but it would take me days to find one video that specifically does this looking for that glitch being used. I also wanted to find a video with the same guidelines where each character does their own part, not doing portions of the other characters or doing almost all of the other character entirely, I would look for that, and another video with these guidelines where characters can do other characters' portions or almost entirely. Here's the best non-tas video where but it does use the inbuilt game glitch pause jump to where you still feel like you're watching a game and not a spastic speedrun: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mw49GWtonLk.html 1 hour, 27 minutes, and 3 seconds. Here's the world records for non-tas speedruns: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j_JAxpVTRlw.html 28:52. 28 minutes and 52 seconds. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Utge6rouLjQ.html This is the faster of the two and is completed in the middle of the video. The other half of the video is commentary and not the game. 28:11. 28 minutes and 11 seconds. Here's the world record for tas speedrun: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kauC4miQ0Fw.html 12:44.49. 12 minutes, 44 seconds, and 49 parts of a second.
Never played this one back in the day... I remember the cover in the Wishbook, and I like the music! But I could see myself not liking this at the time of this game's release.. probably bc of the pink lizard thing 🤣
