Good teaching. I remember a pastor didn't allow a lady to conduct rally at the church because it was feared the lady would wear her earrings. This lady was from another church, was good at the MC job , but she wore earrings.
Great teaching...I could never understand how a great Grace Word is preached then told afterwards that if I don't tithe God will curse me...the conflicting message left me not confused but angry! Keep me in prayer as truth is revealed and I handle it with humility.
One of the best explanations on the problems with legalism that I have ever heard and I am 57 years old. Great job. Christian's are constantly tempted to false standards of righteousness. In every age.
It hurts more where legalism enters your family 😩😞and you can't do much about it since they are so firmly fixed on the heresy . God bless you so much brother. Your explorative account of this subject is outstanding and has definitely taught me a lot.
Woah woah woah.. Let's allow others to determine that From the little experience i have walking with God ive discovered we tend to be bias with our self-judgement
I was once legalistic as well. I was discipled by my physically abusive ex husband to do all of the outer things to look like a Woman of God when I already had the Spirit of God before I met him. I was also baptized by him In the name of Jesus because my first baptism in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit wasn’t enough. I developed a very critical mentality of my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord because of this. God delivered me from that bondage that was intentionally placed on me. I can spot a Legalist from a mile away even when it’s not obvious because I once was one of them. Projecting my insecurities and bondage on others. Thank God their were faithful believers around me that cared for my soul enough to plant the seeds of truth in my heart even when I didn’t want to hear it. To all Legalist THERE IS LIBERTY IN CHRIST. He truly breaks the chains and sets us Free.
Hi I just came across this teaching, and I appreciate it. I actually know 2 People who are trapped in this Legalistic nonsense and are miserable. No matter how much I talk to them about breaking away, the more they get engulfed with their teachings and are very judgmental towards other people. One of the things I find is that they listen to people on RU-vid who claims they have these visions and that anyone who doesn’t wear long dresses, head ties, and makeup amongst other things are going to hell. I'm addition to that they believe worshipping on Sunday is wrong as well as celebrating Christmas. How can I minister to someone who is being strongly being influenced by these teachings? I'm already sharing the information with them as well.
I just want a understanding is it me this new church rules. When the bible say to submit to your leaders. I was at church and one of the leader ask how many of the members will sign over their paycheck to the church. Is this health for a church leader to say this. If it pastor birthday and appreciation month they will tell the members how much to give . What ever the amount is you must have or they get very mad. They will say that the person is rebellion against the leaders
Isaiah 58 King James Version 58 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Isaiah 62:10 “Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.” King James Version (KJV Without standards it is impossible to please God which is everyone's purpose but especially the Black, Latino and Native Indian people. Don't be deceived return to the flock!!
Bro. Damon, have you done your homework who the original Hebrew Jews and their race? As far as I know, they are not the current people that took over that area since 1947 with the Balfour Declaration.
When Christians pick one day to go to church, whether it be Sunday or Saturday, isn’t picking one day out of the week as a set standard a form of mental legalism?
Thank you teacher for this right now Word! I am in a current situation trying to spiritually discern (by the Word of God) and by hearing this message if some of the things I am being taught is of a legalistic standard. This teaching has helped me to have some kind of clarity concerning legalism. God bless you!
Can you do a video in regards to the pro black "gospel"? Exposing some of these AME Churches, and their social gospel, as well as the false teaching of black liberation theology.
Your heart is in a continuous circumcision when you are lead by Jesus Christ. I agree with your term of legalism. However, your inside should reflect the outside if you truly accepted Christ. "Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also." We all fall short of the glory often, but we must pursue is to be holy. "For God said I am holy so be holy." Yes, we have liberty and that is through grace and mercy. Nevertheless, I do enjoy your teaching and your insight. I am pleased you said earlier in the video this does not take your salvation away. The gospel is the salvation through Christ Jesus. The carnal part will be in a process like our heart. Bless you God fearing man. Shalom!
