I totally agree with you Lynese Doukoure...I am so glad the Lord let me see him on another preacher's FB page and I have been blessed ever since. I am just going through various videos (I am so late)..and listening while at work and just getting fat off of the word and off of the exposing of stuff I grew up on spiritually that is just total poppy-cock. My husband has been saying some of these same things for years now. I came up in the One-ness Pentecostal and my husband came up on the Reformed Presbyterian side. So we have had an interesting time together....lol
You know I've always wondered why that type of mess never sat well with me. I remember I used to force myself to be like everyone else because they were doing it and didn't want to seem like an unbeliever. I just couldn't drink the kool-aid. I'm thankful for the journey the lord has me on. He keeps growing me in sound doctrinal teaching. Thank you brother for your lessons.
I have to admit, I used to use word of faith language, but over the past 2 months, God has really separated me from the organized church scene, which has allowed me to focus more on what the word of God truly says. The reason why people like using sensationalized talk, and word of faith jargon, is because of the control factor. Simply praying to God Almighty for grace, mercy, and direction in humility isn't enough for some people. This is rooted in pride. It is a form of witchcraft, or it is used as a charm. Deut 17:10-11 says there shall not be found among you anyone that uses devination or an enchanter or a witch or a charmer or a consulter with familiar spirits or a wizard. A charm is something that is attractive to another and is used to lure others in your sphere. For example, a woman dressing provocatively uses her body as a charm to get others to look at her or desire her. That's why we are suppose to be modest in our appearance. Sensational speech, catchy phrases, and wordly jargon used while preaching are tricks of the enemy to lure believers away from the truth. We have to "study to show yourselves approved unto God" (2 Tim 2:15) so we will stop falling for these tactics. The way is straight and narrow! Many believe they are going to make it in, but Jesus is going to say "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."(Matt 7:23) Brothers and Sisters, stop moving with every wind if doctrine. I have to turn off the Christian programs because that all I hear now. Even the ministers I thought was very good. These I listen carefully and realize that they are not saying anything. God's word is not even coming out their mouth. SAD!!
The latest and ,what's the in thing too.Some of us love that stuff that gets us all worked up into our feelings. We love a funny sermon or musical show, loud drums.all going while collection plate is being passed around for the tenth. No wonder you lighter, your pockets are lighter as you float home.

Shalom Pastor Richardson, I appreciate this teaching. Can you expand a little more about cessation versus sensationalism? I agree with you about music and theology as well; however, I do believe that some(not all) of the songs have lyrics that have portions of lament and others are petitions and could be praying with all types of prayer. Nevertheless, we do need to be careful especially with the songs we choose as we are putting words into the mouths of the congregation.
The problem is that it takes away sometimes from the simplicity of the Gospel although some of these concepts are true there truly are shifts in the spirit realm I believe. However I do believe some people wear it out.
GM Brother Richardson, Im a Christian who has had a history with churches in nyc that were name it and claim it/heavy charismatic groups. I thanks God for people who teach the word like you as it says in this church gone wild era. Im trying to avoid Churchianity and all of its additives to the word of God. Im reaching out to you because i live in New Jersey and im trying to find a church that isn't pentecostal/word of faith based. Can you please give a breakdown (albeit brief) of why Oceans is not Biblically sound? (btw I don't think a lot of these CCM are considered worship by most people, or are they? 'cause I don't consider them worship. I might reflect on them as I listen to them or as I go about my day, but I won't sing it to God when I am praying and worshipping Him). I'm doing that same marathon. It's amazing what we thought we knew until we diligently studied the word for ourselves. I just listened to this video this morning. I like following and verifying with the scriptures. I have walked around feeling guilty about something I said when I was 14-15 and I'm now 60. I believed the preachers that said that my words had that type and that much power. Well, off to more listening, studying, and learning. YAH bless you King's Lady..
