That wasn't just a reference, that's the last secret in that book. It uses the same language you get throughout the game and you can translate it if you own the first game and know the names of the levels.
I found that if you kill the trickster right next to him then frost bomb the master immediately before he can duplicate than you can get tons of damage in before he does anything to you. If you have multiple frost bombs you can kill him
Omg I was so struggling against this boss... damn I gotta say I'm glad that both this and even the normal ending boss were not a cakewalk but still-. It was pretty close to getting really frustrating. Seemed like the only way for me to win against him was to cheese my way to victory, (basically peek trough a corner and send a swarm of meteors at what ever stands in the distance lol) since trying to be more aggressive got me killed in no time.. you go to one masters face and others surround you to your back and both sides.. damn.. brutal
I had to stand in the corner of one of the small side rooms and wait for him to enter. I would hit him each time and when it was finally him, I blocked him in with a barrier, then killed him. It was the only way. I was also getting destroyed by walking around. He had way too many clones up.
okamiyazaki Yeah. thats what I did too.. that one room that opens up during his first phase, after he summons those crappy bees :P I had to replay from load like 20 times before beating him.. then finally getting lucky at the good moment by hitting a critical *when he actually had those shields down*.. This game is absolutely amazing.
Okay I just got so confused. I haven't played this game (I am now playing the first one) and I have only seen my friend play this game (He first went to Ruins of Desarune and has completed about 50% of it). Now I don't get the boss fight. The first one is the Lindworm. Okay I get that the Island Master survived from it (I like to call the "wizard" looking guy The Island Master) but is the Trickster same thing than the Island Master? Is it just that he can be in 2 forms? PS. If you have good tips on Legend of Grimrock 2 please tell me. My friend is having problems killing some enemies (it took a few tries before he got past thoese crabs :D)
The final boss is pain in the neck unless you get nice crit. I was having problem dealing with him when suddenly got 3 crits out of five hits and he was 30% health then it was easy.
Damn I can't beat the second part of this boss, as I'm not doing 900+ damage. You have to find the real one and you need to hit him not in front, and he's always turning to you...
yeah.. this battle is really not as easy as this guy makes it look like.. well I dunno if you have that scythe maybe it is.. just reap the fools soul and be done with it.. lol
