LEGENDARY PACKAGE - 2025 Peterbilt 589 w/80" standup sleeper - 605 Cummins and 18 speed! 

Why do you think so many people hate the 589. I started driving in 1970. We bought 359. Little windows. No room. No power steering. No air conditioning. No heat. The list goes on and on. We Got a 75 and 76 359. 1693s. Heat and air. Still no power steering. Had 77s. 78s and 79s. Finally got all the goodies. Got one of the first 379s. 87 model built in Nashville. My Friends bought 389s. Not much difference. Now you have the 589. Lots of room. Great visibility. A tighter cab. Nice and quiet. From 1970 till now. These newbies should be really glad what peterbilt has turned into. These new guys more than likely would never even drove across the street. Not alone driven across country in those old trucks.

That truck is badly in need of a visor. That shifter reminds me of the old GMC Generals 😂

Good to see yall back, guess things are normalizing again a bit. Out of my 40 plus years I've fought the mindset of change in practically every mode of transportation only to learn to take the best from the changes. Once you make it yours personally it becomes way more exceptable. I do think the implementation of advanced electronics and EPA standards is pushed out there sometimes ahead of its time. It can't meet the promised expected performance. But then, thats always the case when government is involved. For what it is, the pete looks better than id thought it would. The new KW's grow on you as well when, as always is the case, you have no choice because we don't have factories of our own now do we. Thanks for the update and hope we will be seeing more now. Be safe out there people...back out👋

I like the color, its a nice truck if you ask me, the windshield and air breathers will take some getting used to. As we have seen already with other peoples 589 custom builds, a good Visor really makes the difference. I hear its a real smooth ride and all, real quiet as well... If I had one Id certainly look to make a few alterations!!

They need to bring back the 389 and 379. Peterbilt come on that's you're most famous trucks.

No they aren't the same headlights, the plugs are different so you can't use aftermarket lights, and putting the refrigerator on the floor was one of the dumbest things they ever did. Put the closet down there and put the refrigerator back up on top where it belongs

When they add the visor it’ll look a lot better ,it is a shame about the gauges and worse in my opinion you can’t swap out the steering wheel easily because of all the controls on the wheel,it’s getting like a Tesla they’ll remove the stalks next

I agree that the view out the windshield is a little different. I do like the 589 outside and mist of the Interior, but that dash is flugy. It looks like a Freightliner and a International . JUNK DASH

What garbage, y'all at peterbilt keep building this garbage, and your sales will crash. Nobody wants this 589. It looks like crap and the dashboard is crapola as well, NO lights along the air breathers, no visor, the windshield has no split , it stupid looking, you might as well remove the dual stacks, how stupid,,, Bring back the 389 with all the gauges and trailer brake, which belongs on the steering colum, which is much safer to control when applying the trailer brakes, not a stupid switch on the dashboard, your saying you can get a truck within 6 weeks, from the factory,,, I Wonder Why,, might as well buy a classic Frightliner ,,Many that are posting here saying it's beautiful, don't know what a truck should look like.
