Still run mine. 1998 and 3-9 miles a year on trails and winters pushing snow . Pushed gallons of water and pulled a whole th400 truck transmission in a wagon from the 80s 12v battery, 550 case air compressor motors , evx2 and basic wiring diagram just like the original with hi low . . Awesome truck! Thanks for the video !
Still got mine! Got it when i was a kid my dad put it all together when i went to bed... shes all oem we even painted body red to match the box im sure the 7.2 packs are shot if i can even find em but shes still alive last i checked👍
That’s a cool.truck.I got the black foot.it’s a fun truck to drive.my dad had one when I was a kid.I put the mip diff in the truck and a hotter stock motor and put lunch box tires on it.it rips.for what it is.I run it on Nimh.haven’t tried 2s yet.
I put the MIP diff in my Blackfoot. I then put a hobbywing £180 brushless set up in it. It was completed overkill. It would wheelie on command. It was great until it completely stripped the MIP diff. Ended up sticking the stock diff in if and a sports tuned brushed motor 🤣
Sold mine long ago but always had a soft spot for it. Watching the slo-mo footage it really does capture the suspension behavior of a true monster truck of the 80's. Just really bouncy and hard to land. I think that's part of the joy of driving it compared to all these really dialed in bashers. Where did you score the light bar in the bed? I could use that for a couple projects. Thanks!
At one time I had dual aluminum rims, but it did not work too well back soon because the servers were not strong enough to turn them. I still miss it even though I have several vehicles, several 1/24 scale and 1/10 scale. My wife even got me a 1/14 scale Tamiya king Hauler truck and trailer
What servos did you use? My cheapo “13kg” rated servos are struggling to turn the wheels at a stand still. I’m using Jconcept’s BTA steering kit, front and back for 4WS. Have you tried them? I don’t think they’re ideal for bashing though, cause you’d lose some ground clearance. Good for racing though, front wheels steering only.
