Legion - What to Buy First on a Budget - Republic (2019)

I'm just starting into Legion because I love Clones.... Came across your video and saw your Dunder Mifflin shirt and instantly knew I could trust your opinion.

I am a simple man: I'm looking forward to the basic clone troopers.

Captain Rex is my favourite Republic unit that's been announced. He's a badass who'd doesn't need any Jedi voodoo magic to kick ass!

Favorite unit so far: Phase 2 Clones. They look awesome, coupled with their rules and equipment options? Excellent. Great video as always!

Given how none of their units are out yet, this is my proposed buying solution: 1. Find someone who wants Seppies 2. Buy your core set, sell them droids. 3. Buy a second core set, repeat.sale of droids. By doing this, you have 4x corps, 2x support, and Obi. Plus loads of materials you need like dice. After that, I’d pick up the Captain Rex pack next year and the Phase 1 heavy upgrade pack coming before Christmas. That’s what I’m doing - there’s a preorder for 2x cores waiting for a separatist and myself. For $80 I’m almost there. I’ll have a complete set based on what’s announced for $132 if I pay msrp on the heavy upgrade and Rex. The heavy upgrade is also valuable because it has a unit card so you can take the extra minis from those core sets and presto, 5th corps units. The tank is cool to look at but it’s so expensive dollar wise I can’t recommend it

The phase 2 clones also have courage 2, and that's a big advantage for a corps unit

Really looking forward to this expansion in the game I am especially looking forward to the Senate Commandos probably a long way off but really awesome looking.

Since the first season of clone wars ctp. Rex is one of my all time favourite star wars characters. A Capable, loyal, independently thinking and last but not least ridiculously badass character

Captain Rex is my favorite. He's not out yet. But i like his point cost, abilities and command cards. Plus, i can fit a Saber (also not out yet) tank better with points to use.

I really like the standard phase 1 clones, but I hope that FFG releases a half core set for phase 2 clones. Mainly because I like how they look more.

I might just get Rex. No real desire for the Republic faction, but I love me some Rex.

I think the phase 2 with hunter or endurance might be really fun, is it worth the extra 14 pts though im not sure plus i like how phase 2 looks way more than phase 1

Everything! Lol personally will probably get one of everything for my faction just because everything is being released slower than everything that I'd need to get all at once if I did original legion. Especially because my gf is investing in the other faction

Obi wan is my favorite republic unit. He’s been my favorite Star Wars character for as long as I can remember.

Who makes terrain for legion?

Favorite unit would definitely be phase 2 clones hoping to paint them up to look like torrent company( Jesse, Hardcase, Kix, and Tup.)

Mu favorite republic unit is the clone commando and I hope they add them to legion.

Honestly, until we know more I’m just planning on skipping the tank. I got sucked into cool factor for sure but the price is hurting here. I’m planning on sticking with my double core set, 1x phase 1 heavy upgrade pack, Rex, and then waiting for operatives and special forces.

They need Anakin, Asoka, Yoda, and a lot of the Jedi, the knight sisters, The pirates, the mandalorian, bounty hunters, the pike, Darth Maul, doko, death watch, Asajj Ventress.

Nothing is better than basic clones and droids fighting each other (maybe with some tanks :] )

It's been a while and I kind of want to find some time to get back into it. Im guessing the game has vastly changed. Maybe I will catch up with you at CSG one day for a tutorial or two D:

I'm not a clones fan but I'd have to go for rex just to try and homebrew him into my rebels list with sabine as old rex

Delta squad is definitely my favorite

It does suck that you need to buy X in order to get certain features like flockin' smoke grenades

Next time I wish FFG will provide enough dice to cover the number of units in their core sets. I mean at the end of the day players will buy more dice as their army expands. So frustrating when played the first legion not enough dice to roll. Make the gameplay a bit slow.

I’m a big fan of the clones. I will say as I like the phase 2 but it’s more of the look for me

I can forsee the big problem with republic clones is they will be physically the same-maybe some helmet and weapons differences. This makes owning them somewhat boring. Unless of course you customise them with different paint (but still the same). Unlike empire troopers physically different.

Great idea to release the cards separately

I mean the Republic are cool but the Sepratists try something completely new with there corps unit.
