Day in the life of a plumber In this episode I complete remedial jobs so that legionella inspections can be carried out As always thanks for watching, have a great bank holiday weekend #plumber #plumbing #dayinthelife
Thanks for the support as always mate, these were the easy ones to be fair, some of the jobs I get are literally impossible, they will say a pipe needs lagged but it will be touching the wall and every other pipe, have a great Easter mate
The mind does boggle mate, I guess there only there to do legionella checks so it comes down to being not their job, thanks for watching as always mate
Nice handy day Tom, I like doing jobs like that when they go ok, You should rack your van out with the stanley organisers there Brilliant for fittings I have 14 accross one shelf and 8 big clear plastic boxes for 32 / 40 mm fitting ect, Dead handy for putting your hands on something when you need it, We have two service vans vw transporters and all the boxes are fully restocked once a month with what ever is low works very well for us, Good video Mate, Have a good weekend 👍👍🤜
I really want to do something like that, the rest of the vans on the fleet have the proper racking but I just made did with mine as you do sometimes, I'm currently building an extension at home that's going to have a workshop I can hopefully get my van in, it means I can take stuff out I don't use all the time without the fear someone else will take it out the stores, I can then get the thing a bit more organised, thanks for watching as always Tony, have a great weekend 👍
it certainly is a losing battle with me, I've never had the tidiest van but lately It's got really bad, have a great Easter mate and thanks for all the support as always 👍
Hi Tom, some great jobs done there, I know what you mean, plumbing always appears to be a struggle. Hope you enjoy sometime off, have a great Easter, take care, I look forward to the next film. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate, the first jobs are the hardest when you go on your own, after a few weeks it just becomes normal and you get used to struggling, have a great Easter mate
Good work Tom Yes, hate it when you touch stuff and it starts leaking. Had to move a shower pump in the week, ended up having to change the essex flange on the cylinder. Have a good Easter.
My old boss was obsessed with essex flanges, my hands used to be small enough to get them through the immersion heater and it made fitting them easier, I find the washers go brittle on them over the years and one small knock makes them leak, thanks for watching as always 👍
Thanks for the support as always Peter, the little in and out jobs are very profitable, they keep the lads busy as well, thanks for watching as always mate and have a great Easter
Thanks for the support as always mate, your right mate, the only time I use it is when I've got to connect onto some existing, even then I prefer to convert back to solvent, have a great weekend mate 👍
It’s so much easier doing these jobs when the schools empty, can crack on and make a nice day of it. I do try to sort my van out on a day like that or a disinfection job, hate doing it in my own time unpaid. If it’s work related it’s on the time sheet (we have a guy who booked out working time to mouse hunting in his van…. Still hasnt found it!)
It does make life much easier, I try and book all these jobs in at half term as you can fly round them all, you can have the water off and it makes life so much less stressful, I never seem to get time to clean the van out, thanks for the support as always Ben
I'd have pulled that waste out and fitted a floor socket just so I could cut the coppers and also so I wouldn't get the blame for it leaking. Good work. Big fan of legionella work (plenty of scrap😜), but if we all fitted it to legionella Standard, the price would be doubled.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I do enjoy this type of work but you come across loads of bad installs, years ago all work had be signed off by a clerk of the works and the spec's used to be very strict, push fit waste pipe was a big no along with flexis to taps, now you just see stuff chucked in, I don't touch anything without an order on these jobs as I only get paid for what's on the task order, even if you come across rubbish, if it ain't dangerous or leaking it gets left and I put it on my report, thanks for watching as always, have a great Easter 👍
It’s all go isn’t it Tom. Don’t worry about your van, mines worse 😂. When you get home you just want to chill not empty your van. Looks like you’ve been having fun though mate.
I know what you mean about getting home and just wanting to chill, the van gets parked up and forgotten about, thanks for watching as always mate and have a great Easter
Them basin wastes , crying out for a strap on boss . Must have been a Friday afternoon job 😂 . The speed fit inserts were plain then changed to ones with O rings . Don't think it will make any difference.
Thanks for the support as always mate, it certainly needed a boss or cutting off at the floor and a rubber bung down to 2inch, it's such a simple job but it just goes to show some people just don't care, have a great Easter mate
I heard that Britain is complaining about immigrants. I want to ask you a question. If an immigrant asked you to work with you as an assistant, would you hire him? Assume that he is a trustworthy person
I certainly would mate, I hire people purely on personality and ability, it doesn't matter to me if you are a woman or a man or where you have come from, as long as you are willing to learn and work hard that's all that matters to me, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
