I remember eating in a newly opened casual Korean restaurant near my previous office. I ordered ramyeon. I was comparing it to Japanese ramen, and felt like ramyeon is cheap version because I can tell the noodles were instant. I realized afterwards that Ramyeon (Korean, the instant noodles) and ramen (Japanese, non instant) cannot be compared. Each has its own category. Not sure if you were able to go to the Manila K-town. I had tried the Seoul style dak galbi there, which is uncommon to find here. There’s also that unlimited tteokbokki buffet there.
quezon province has the legendary tuba and lambanog (coconut vodka originally from quezon) every province and city they have their own trademark foods.. like in batangas they have the famous noodle like LOMI AND MAMI.
