This restaurant is "MINSOK" located in MAKATI. The video was filmed with the permission of the owner. And I paid the bill. If you (bulbulitos and bulbulitas) visit there, please tell the Korean owner that you came there after watching Mr. BulBul's video, and they promised me that they would provide bulbulitos and bulbulitas simple extra soup for free.
My first ever samgyup experience was in MinSok back in 2011. Place was much smaller then, and despite the cheaper samgyup-all-you-cans, I always come back here. Staff and owners are all nice.
Thank you for this!!! One of my goal this year is to try authentic Korean dishes here in Philippines. I know its kinda swallow goal but hey, as someone from province, this is a great help for me, especially your reviews. 😌
There are a lot of good Korean restau in Makati. I usually go to restaurants where the actual owner is Korean. Seoul Galbi to name one. Korea Garden is good too. one thing I look forward when eating are the side dishes they serve 😊 good korean restau serves rare perilla and spinach!
Hi Mr. B. I like your interactions with your tatay/ father in law. He seems like a cool dude and will have many funny stories when drunk. 😂 Take care & enjoy your vacation! 👍🏼🍾
Now that you mention it, there is this KBBQ place I tried where their pork slices have the hard white part. Their kimchi is very good. If I cook the kimchi and it tastes better, then that's good kimchi. Most commercial KBBQ here have average kimchi. If the restaurant is owned and/or managed by a Korean, that's a good sign.
a lot of so called samgyup began to sprout like mushroom all around the Ph nowadays, most of it is not so good, most of them serves thin slices of pork fat some veggies and store bought korean esque dips. They tend to have "unlimited" in their menu, at first they will serve a good slice of meat afterwards all they serve are those fatty slices. But to be fair, yes, economy's kinda sucks nowadays even mang inasal's chicken ain't worth it anymore. 😂 ✌️
Just for the record Mr B. A lot of filipinos hate pork fat. Most people literally throw them away or just leave them uneaten. This is probably why most samgyupsal here are not real samgyupsal. Lastly, some low cost samgyupsal place here think samgyupsal = grill. Hence why I encounter places where I want to eat samgyupsal then I'm being served with beef instead of pork. lol! They think thin grilled meat with korean sauce is already samgyupsal. And yeah... I hate those samgyupsal places specially the ones that serve beef meat or pork lean meat cause most of the time it came from the back part of the pig which are usually used for pork chops. It's so dry and gamy. But then again it's too late cause it's awkward rejecting what they serve and walk away lol!
Try to Lee Gan Restaurant. Located at Amazing Show or Manila Film Center at Pasay. There's no marinated meat there. Just plain pork and beef meet with many aide dishes.
The way you drink the Soju, makes you the younge oner than the other guy. Is that your Father inlaw? Also, where is this store located so we can try atleast the taste of a authentic korean taste :)
Yeah i think pork in the Philippines are more tasty than other pork just like here in europe there's a lot of pork meat but i don't think it taste good even if you cook it the same way XD
There will always be a difference between charcoal grill and pan grill it's the smokie taste of it and smell specially when cooked with aromatic wood, it's the burning wood that really makes the difference, ways of cooking between them is different as well, I'll eat it any other way😂🤣😋😜 👍😎✌.
We had samgyupsal like this way way back other unli korean grill ever started. We loved it cause we felt it was very authentic and the owner even cooked for us. Unfortunately, restaturant closed down and was replaced by those unli ones. I will always treasure the first time we ate there. Will try this one as well! Thank you for sharing!
I will surely try. Since you said masarap.... like you we been try sangupsal in every corner but I guess korean resto / food is farrr better in (Clark) Angeles City. Though I like the korean Resto ( i forgot the name) across of Dampa in Parañaque . Always maraming tao so expect queuing Thank you Mr. B
2:08 From what I know in Korean culture when drinking the youngest must serve the drinks to the other older individuals and I think they are supposed to look away when drinking as a sign of respect. *correct me if I'm wrong
Been subscriber for years, were happy to see you here now in the Philippines. Try Giyummy here at Marcos Highway. Specially the Wine Samgyupsal and Galbisal 😀
The first samgyupsal I ate is 싱싱 singsing meat shop and resto at BF Homes, Parañaque and the owner is a Korean too. You must go there and let me know your review!
Mr. B you should go to Angeles City Near Clark International Airport. You can find the largest Korean Town in the Philippines. It has a lot of authentic Korean Restaurants. :)
I wish there were good, simple, authentic korean places over here where you can order for delivery, like kalguksu, at reasonable prices. Most Korean restos here are overpriced and not authentic.
Me being korean culture fan i really want to exp korean authentic grill or authentic samgyeopsal place. I always ask for garlic in samgyeopsal place here in ph but mostly they dont serve it on the menu. Makati is too far for me and not a place that i can easily access. I hope i can visit that korean samgyeopsal place to exp korean authenticity. Im also not that near in pampanga but there’s a lot of korean authentic food place or korean grill that im still wishing to visit soon. For now my comfort samgyeopsal places are with those with pinoy touch now.
Hi mr B! you should also try Soga Miga korean restaurant it's located in Festival Mall, Alabang. it's also authentic and the owner is always there supervising the resto. 😁
