Ok but Lesovikk's team wasn't just any toa team, they were the first team. Imagine being the leader of the first team of heroes, idolized by many even, and then because of your mistake they're dead. Imagine the shame he feels not even just failing his team but potentially even feeling like he failed every matoran he'd met.
@@ryanstephenson7312Honestly I dont really mind that he doesn’t. I feel like this channel is more about the actual sets and their functionality, not the lore behind them.
@@ryanstephenson7312I honestly dont really think he needs to cuz I think tgis channel is and should be more focused on the technicality function and designs of the sets more than the lore
Another absolutely amazing character! The leader of the first ever toa team who not only failed a mission but got all of his teammates killed and friends enslaved by Karzahni. I felt for this guy so much just a broken wandering loner who tries to atone for his past mistakes and regrets. It’s fitting that his limbs always break. It’s to represent his inner turmoil and deep brokenness
@@AllOutBrick, But his sea sled is great, it uses frictionless pins and 7 long hoses, while the Ussanui uses a red lever, a white rubber band and gears
I know it's a year old, but a note about Lesovikk. Since he doesn't consider himself worthy of being a Toa, he doesn't adhere to the Toa Code (the important detail being that true Toa avoid killing intelligent beings). So, if something pops up, Lesovikk's not afraid to straight up kill his opponents. There's maybe only one other non-villainous Toa in canon who actively uses lethal force.
I can't wait for the gadunka review. He is m personal favorite set due to the memories I had with my grandpa struggling to build it for a 5-6 year old me
I was around 12 when the very first Bionicle sets came out back in 2001. I don't know what it was, but something about the Toa Mata spoke to me and I was instantly hooked. I have the entire collection on display in my guest room.
It's great seeing you supporting toa in a hard place. Not only are his joints brittle, but ever since Velika pinned a murder on him, I can only imagine what goes through that translucent orange head of his.
Got this guy for Christmas of 07, just made a moc with a lot of his pieces the other day. Learned his mask goes for $30 on its own now and im very grateful for it lol
Lesovikk was a set that I sort of forgot existed until a few years ago. The reason why he is listed as a special edition was because he was Walmart-exclusive in the United States, much like Nocturn and Umbra were. He is the third and final '07 set with lime joints, though I honestly don't remember having that problem with Ehlek or Hahli Mahri. Apart from those, Lesovikk also has Hahli Mahri's Kanohi Faxon recolored in lime and the Piraka torso in lime which are exclusive to his set. He is also the final set to have the Toa Metru legs, Inika knee armor, and the hip piece introduced with the Toa Metru in Metru green (Earth green). Similarly, this is the second and final set to have the rounded Inika feet in the melding of Metru green and silver from Kongu Inika. As with one other Titan set, from 2007, Lesovikk has Pridak's weapon recolored in silver, and he also is the only other appearance of Mantax's shoulder armor. The visor on him will appear in two more sets in 2008. The same is true for the "Power Sword" from Jaller Mahri which comprises part of the "Sea Sled"-as it's officially known. His shoulder armor which first appeared in Matoro Mahri will appear in three more sets in 2008, and he is the final set to have light-up eyes. Conversely, Lesovikk is the only Bionicle set to have that rotor blade in black which first appeared in a "Designer" set (4403) in 2003.
After Bionicle Piraka Gang >>> Lesovikk is still one of my favourite Toa of the many Toas in the Bionicle Chronicles! 🙏 Thank You So Much for this Special Introduction of Bionicle Lesovikk for the Senior & Junior Bionicle Fans in this side of the Outer Rim! Unity. Duty. Destiny! 🌷🌿🌎💖🕊
The shoulderpads and chest armor remind me of the Toa Nuva! While they weren’t the first team, maybe something of a tribute to the first one we ever saw?
Takanuva was $30, while Lesoviik was $20 and the latter price has a bit less selling power with inflation. I've seen some Cordak blaster breakages in my day, the ball being completely broken off and seemingly the axle sanded down, the top axle being broken, but the top axle being completely broken off on yours takes the cake.
I felt so cool having this set as a kid because none of my friends had it or knew where to get it. Sucked that all his joints kept breaking but young me didn’t understand why
Reexploring the lore of Bionicle in more details than 10-15 years ago made me love the franchise even more, just because it's so well done, complex and mature for a toy brand. Btw, will you do the combiners for the barraki ? I know they're not in the instructions but were in the Lego magazine back in the day or something, and the Zyglak is one of my favorite combiner
I got this set on BrickLink back in 2020 for relatively cheap and none of the lime joints were broken. I’d say I got pretty lucky. He’s currently on my shelf with the rest of my Bionicle sets and he’s holding up perfectly. Overall I really like this set, lime joints and all.
Lesovikk on it's own looks definitelly nice and cool, but at least for me 2007 was just so packed with awesome titans that he just feels very ordinary compared to all the others. My 2007 collection is only missing him and Karzahni and I guess it's still not worth all that money :/
Like Nocturn, I bought/exchanged Lesovikk (quite cheap for my luck) to "fill the collection" but with a little more of interest because of this pesky limited edition thing. And like you, it really grow on me. His recolors are nice, his build simple but functional and his sea slider... I'll always take him before Takanuva. (Sorry, you should know that I have a bias towards 07). I really love seeing that you're enjoying this year! Can't wait for the next review...
The Sea sled: Uses frictionless pins and 7 long hoses to lift the blade used as landing gear The Ussanui: Uses a red lever, white rubber band and gears to lift it's katana landing gear
Can’t wait for the other titan sets this wave had some cool ones I forgot the names but the big red one with a gun on his shoulder was cool it remind me of the predator and he came with a animal , the other one was still cool it had a giant claw I just can’t wait for those reviews
As a kid I always loved the esthetic of 2007, but didn't get to own many of the sets. This was one that I always wanted, and I was able to get it a few years ago and the aftermarket. Luckily my joints are in good shape but I am still careful what building him. He was a Good upgrade from other sets of the time, a little basic on the body build, but adding some needed color to a toa of air. The bike or submarine is really impressive given the small parts count, while still looking unique and having The 3 stationary pieces folding out, it's like a smaller version of the Ussanui from Takanuva. Thank you for sharing this review
I picked up this set on eBay for $33 before priority shipping, we brought it to $50.49 total. A lot for the shipping, but not a lot for the total price compared to nowadays. This was back on August 29, 2019.
For the rest of the 2007 line, you should save the best for last... that being Maxillos & Spinax. Yeah, the Spinax figure is nothing to ride home about, but the Maxillos figure is a HUGE deal (no, not just in scale). I'm not spoiling why. Just know you'll probably be as excited as a kid on Christmas morning (or so I claim). Thank you for the content, sir. Have a great day.
It was a Special Edition in the sense that not many were produced, the lime Faxon, because it basically is the 2007 Takanuva, and lego likes to throw the term around because of fomo.
got a used one recently, several of the joints are cracked as expected but thankfully none to such a degree im forced to replace them, ive got a nice paint that matches them for making my own stable replacements when it comes down to it
These videos are very awesome! Every week I wait for your new review. Anyways im wondering when are we getting the double mata nui monday or are we going to get it at all? I think you mentioned it at some point earlier. And btw i think lesovikk is one of my favorite toa
Man, I really hope Lego brings back the G1 style Bionicle at some point. They were some of my favorite toys back in the 00's, but the later ones got too action figure-y for my liking.
Woah this is insane! I never would've expected a very professional intro and video quality review of a bionicle set, this is so refreshing! thanks Christian.
Love the set and hope to get it some day, the color scheme is excellent and the light up eyes make the difference. Btw what ever happened to the double mata mui monday announced like three weeks ago? Is it still happening?
The bike is cool but I don’t think it ever actually appears in the story unfortunately. A shame cuz it’s quite often that we see cool characters in these retail exclusive sets with large vehicles that get used minimally compared to the featured characters.
Its special edition because its was in Walmart US only. I still doesnt know how i get him in Europe as kid. Maybe mum bought it in Czech Ebay like marketplace called Aukro.
Lesovik, the most useless toa in the story, yet my favorite toa set. By the way is your cordak blaster broken (the axle hole at the top) or were there two versions of that piece?
Wait wait, was there really an actual problem with the lime green limb pieces? You’re telling me that I’m not the only person that has Lesovikk and Hahli with no limbs because they have both broke?
This one hurts to watch. I used to own Lesovikk, but I sold it. Now it goes for 100 euro or more and it's just not worth it. Especially with the lime joints
I was born in 2010 but my brother showed me all of this so even without then at Walmart shelves I still buy them in my room I have 4 barraki 6 toa mata 6 toa inika axonn the 2 toa hagah and more
Another Set I wasn't interested in as it came out and at this time time I don't knew the story. Looks cool, yes, he has at least a small relevance in the story but was a bad leader and couldn't even defeat Karzahni,. I'm so excited for Maxilos, Hydraxon( the only Titan-Set I have from this time) and Gadunka. The Play-feature with the stand/Nidhiki-Legs is good but the lime green sooooo bad
