Concerning the helmet pieces, the visor was made for the modern-style scuba/astronaut helmet+tanks headgear and the helmet was made for the CMF Football Player minifigure. Great set, I wish I had picked it up back in the day. I have about 10 of the light disc pieces, got them in a LEGO convention goodie bag years ago.
Great review on an IDEAS set when they are still on the less expensive side. I own this set as well, I don't like that I have no wear to put the helmet or hairpiece when not on the minifigure.
