I'm really surprised as well that we never had bail organa as a mini figure. However I kinda want rebel trooper friend from the lego star wars game (the rebel trooper with red shirt). Maybe they could include him in a rebel galactic marine battle pack?

Man...Lego just loves those stud shooters...personally I'm not a fan of those...especially when they're used for minifigs, too bulky for my taste...pretty cool set, great vid Jang
I don't mind the ones built into the models at all, as they're really not all that different ultimately fro the old flick missiles, but I definitely really dislike the minifigure stud blasters, especially since that's really the *only* weapon you get in the battle packs these days >__>
Yeah same. If they aren't applied to absolute perfection your $200 model is just gonna look off and awful as a result. Such an expensive set I feel like they could have very much printed those. Kind of ruins the set for me. Was considering saving up for this to get it at some point after seeing his build video.
Lieutenant Octoling its so weird, I was never a prequel guy due to my age when they dropped, but when they brought Bail back in Rogue One I was SOOO hyped that it was the same actor, and I’m super pumped Bail has a cool fit finally, but this set is out of my cost and space budget :(
shockthetoast space is infinite, but the shelf space in my apartment is far from it, unfortunately, and is happily already over full of books movies and LEGO. Maybe if I’d never gotten the Pelta-class frigate set I’d have a spot for the Tantive, but I’d not trade Ashoka and Kallus for this set. I’ll just bricklink Bail in the future and he can pal around with Mon on Home One
Pretty cool to have the very first Star Wars ship we ever saw on screen, it's quite expensive, but it's a good thing it's not minifig scale, can you imagine how big it would really be? Happy May the Fourth to you, Jang, and to all Star Wars fans!

Jang, in my opinion you’re the best set-reviewer on RU-vid. I was surprised that you didn’t really go over the back engine area of the ship. There was a lot of exterior that I think you should have gone over. This just caught me off guard because you’re usually really good about going over everything
hmm I think there is some conspiracy against you Jangs, none of my astromechs has weird printing (I and have like 5 of them). Maybe it's a factory-related thing and all the stores in your area only receive stock from that specific factory
It may be contagious. I never had a weird R2 until I watched a video where JANG said he had a weird one. And the next set I bought had a weird R2. Be forewarned. (Well, I also have an old-school R2-D2 keychain where his head is on backwards... and since it's a keychain you can't fix it without breaking it... but the *printing* was fine.)
I got the new version of r2 last year with the misprint, then the day after that i saw a jang video saying: my r2 has a misprint, i got like 2 other r2s with the clean print then after that video i got another one with the misprint, weird
Not sure why so many people are surprised that we've never seen Bail Organa in lego form. He was in AotC as basically a glorified extra, and had like 10 minutes in RotS so he could run into Obi-wan and adopt Leia. He's never been an important character really, so it makes sense imo
He was also in about 20 episodes of The Clone Wars, a handful of appearances in Rebels, and countless citations in books & other secondary media. Besides, he's a key part of the backstory of one of the Skywalkers (father as best she knew, and mentor), and Star Wars as most know it is the Skywalker saga, so that's pretty important.
Strongly agree! For a $200 set, Lego really should have opted to supply printed cockpit pieces and just charge more. Maybe Lego should consider the action figure approach to marketing, where they release a basic model to the mass market and create a pricier "deluxe" model containing exclusive printed pieces and parts for collectors.
Personally. I really like the set. A fine middle ground between minifig compatible and a well designed down sized model of Tantive IV. Although there are a few design features i changed myself. The stud shooters was removed and the turret tower altered slightly, replaced the beam in the radar with a shorter one and added landing gears in the places they are supposed to be. Just didn`t feel right that the ship rests on the engines and the cockpit structure, resulting in it tilting forward.
Somehow, the Tantive IV is a better value than the UCS Star Destroyer. And so everyone doesn't blow up at me, I said better value not better set. I don't have the UCS Star Destroyer but the Price Per Piece here is much better while this set still looks really good on display. A good cross between UCS, Play Set, and Master Builders set.
I think this is a pretty good set. I’m glad they finally did a Leia minifigure with an actual skirt AND a pair of legs, (it should have came with a hood but whatever.) However, there is a total missed opportunity by not including the space where Leia gives the plans to R2.
Wish we got a new Rebel trooper battle pack in these costumes, so fans could recreate scenes like the one at the end of Rogue One, or Darth Vader’s first scene in Last Hope

MY all-time favourite Star Wars ship! Ever! Even more than the Y-Wing -- and for those who know me, that's saying something! I have waited for this for years since the 2009 version went astray. I can't wait to start mine tomorrow. One thing I must ask you all -- even Jang. Being as this (model) was the original Millennium Falcon, has anyone thought of converting this to the original Falcon configuration? I'd be interested to hear this and see plans.

I still have the last Tantive which was $350NZD back in 2009 MISB and I am selling it to get this, This set is $400NZD and will be here in store in 90 days and I just like the new set compared to the 2009 set, I cant wait and I look forward to watching your build of this. big thumbs up dude.
I would've liked another droid as opposed to Bail. Maybe one of the unique astromechs on board, or a different protocol droid. We never saw both Leia and Bail together (in the movies), nor was he there at the start of the first film, so I don't care for his inclusion. Provided how hard it is to make any play room in this set, I feel like there could've been something different for that space instead of another meeting room. Maybe the backrooms where Leia delivered the plans to R2 would be cooler.
The model looks nice, but for 200 dollars, that’s not enough playability. I think the middle section should have been reserved for the blaster battle scene that is so iconic in the first star wars.
This is such an awesome set but there is one thing I hate about it. Stickers... Especially the once that resemble the cockpit... I just don't like the opportunity to put the sticker in the wrong way...
