Oh my, BrotherHoodWorShop, you are such a big inspiration, I would probably not have started this RU-vid channel without you. Your videos are my childhood, and now I’m also making stop motion. So thank you very much for giving us these movie quality videos and inspiration!
It makes me particularly happy that Lego acknowledged his identity as Jedi Bob, not just making homage to the 2009 Visual Dictionary and it’s editors who gave the name to the Jedi Knight, but also to the community that has made the guy so incredibly popular
Born too early to experience space travel Born too late to experience the popularisation of The Beetles Born just in time to witness Darth Jar Jar vs Jedi Bob
I was at the Lego Store here in Orlando/Disney World, talking w the employees, many of whom are big lego and starwars fans (probably around February). Then I almost always steer the conversation to Darth Jar Jar being a hidden thing, with tons of research from the community and why Episode I is my favorite, ranging from kung fu 'drunken master style', to 'Binks' being a character that George Lucas liked from a book he read, to the frame by frame analysis of the supposed 'force jump' of Jar Jar across the bridge with a Droid tracking him, to Episode II being officially dubbed (as a codename) by George Lucas as 'Jar jar's Big Adventure', and Jar Jar's voice actor replying to those conspiracy videos on social media with a slight nod. Then they go 'oh dude. don't you know?' Me: 'what?' Them: 'did you see the leaks?' Me: 'I don't look at the leaks so it comes to me as a surprise, that way I have something to look forward to'. Them 'They're making a Dark Falcon' Me: 'What's a Dark Falcon?' Them: 'dude you really didn't see the leaks?' Me: 'nope' Them:'It's a theoretical what-if lego set with a Dark Millenium Falcon with Darth Jar Jar in it' Me: 'EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!@#$!@#$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Well, it’s a show, but of course they’ll base the set off of something, so they usually tie their sets to whatever entertainment is out. It makes sense in that regard to release something and have it be promoted in the show for kids
I assumed it was just LEGO having fun with the IP as part of the 25 years celebration. Which this still is, but man I did not expect a full four episode special to go along with the sets
I can just imagine the pitch. “Hey, guys! What if we took the concept of the Marvel show ‘What If?’, made it ‘Star Wars’, and put a comedic Lego spin on it?” That said, this looks genuinely very entertaining.
@@epiclight858 Lego needed Star Wars prequels at the time plus Lego Star Wars knows how to make a parody of Star Wars even in Lego Skywalker saga game.
For those who dont understand, X-wing Tie fighter is a meme as a lego youtuber figured out how to combine the two sets in an easy way with no extra parts, Darth jar jar is a well-supported theory but is memed a lot, and Ewok bounty hunter is a large meme as bounty hunters and ewoks are pure opposites, yet people still combine them. Finally, Jedi bob is a meme amongst the lego community as an unnamed jedi with a smug face was introduced in a lego gunship, and lego fans nicknamed him jedi bob. Almost everyone knows him as that nowadays.
Lego movies have always been weirdly good. Between the Original Lego Movie, Lego Batman, and now this, they've always been weirdly good at making tasteful films
"DARTH JAR JAR!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" disney somehow had the balls to do something right for a change and turn that meme into a reality which is what EVERYONE wanted i frickin love DARTH JAR JAR
A Jedi whose name may have been "Bob" once flew on a LAAT/i gunship during the First Battle of Geonosis which marked the beginning of the Clone Wars. At the time, his Jedi attire consisted of a hooded brown cloak over a gray tunic. The Jedi Knight had black eyes and wielded a green-bladed lightsaber. All records of the Jedi Knight's activities were lost at the end of the Clone Wars when the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was attacked as a part of Operation: Knightfall during the Great Jedi Purge.
"It's a kid's show. The villain can't be that bad." The villain: @0:47 Oh those protagonists are f***ed. How does this somehow sound menacing? They didn't have to go that hard but they did.
Besides glorifying in the Darth Jar Jar meme coming to life, the music for this trailer sounds amazing. Yeah, it’s a modified version of the Duel of the Fates score, but still.
@@Certified500kgBombit hasn't come out yet plus I don't about the animation for this show looks a bit slow but I will give this and the acolyte a shot
OK, now it makes sense why we’re getting a LEGO Jedi Bob Starfighter set and a LEGO Dark Millennium Falcon set. This is crazy and awesome at the same time.
@@jeromevaleska2014ndor is overrated. If it was condensed into a film it would've been good, but it's pacing is abysmal and it's obvious they really had to stretch out the runtime. So many unnecessary long and slow scenes, and more flashbacks than the Book of Boba Fett. It doesn't really get good until the end, but you have to wait through a lot of boring slog just to get there.
